Wyoming Shrine Bowl South Practice-Tuesday

The Shrine Bowl South football team has been working hard at Natrona County High School to begin the week of practices heading up to Saturday’s annual All-Star game. The South certainly has some size and strength thanks to Tegen Seeds of Douglas who will be heading to the University of Wyoming for football as a preferred walk on. This past season, Seeds was an All-State offensive lineman in 3A and an All-State defensive lineman the year before that. He’s also swept the 3A throwing events at the State Track Meet with a winning toss of 162-10 in the discus and 57-1.25 in the shot-put. Seeds displayed exponential progress in each event compared to his junior year.

Evanston’s Kai Barker is a solid 3-sport athlete and will provide the South with sure hands at the receiver spot. Barker made All-State last season in 3A football with 42 catches for 528 yards and 4 touchdowns. He’s also the 4A State Champion in the high jump in track and field as he cleared 6-6. Barker was 4th at the 4A State Outdoor Meet in the 110 hurdles and 6th in the 300. He’ll compete in track and field at Weber State next season.

We had a chance to chat with these athletes about their thoughts on the Shrine Bowl and their prep careers.

Wyoming Senate supports enhanced oil recovery bills

CHEYENNE – Communities across the state are lacking in workforce housing, defined as homes affordable to middle-income people.
