Miami Dolphins’ Most Valuable Player | Week Eleven | Defense steals the show once more

The Miami Dolphins didn’t dominate the Las Vegas Raiders on the scoreboard like some had hoped would happen, but their defense was up to the challenge and led the team to a victory in week eleven regardless.

The biggest contributor was cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Ramsey nabbed two acrobatic interceptions against Raiders rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell including the game sealing pick with the clock winding down and Las Vegas driving deep into Miami territory.

When the dust settled, Ramsey was targeted seven times, yet only gave up two receptions for 23 yards. He had a pass breakup in addition to his two picks.

Although the All-Pro has only suited up for Miami three times due to an offseason knee injury that required surgery, he still leads the squad with three interceptions on the year. Ramsey has been Miami’s best defensive back since taking the field in the aqua and orange, and his addition has boosted the Dolphins defense to one of the best in the NFL.

Hopefully he can continue to take the ball away from opposing offenses en route to more victories for Miami this season.

Parents Jessica and Mohammed Jarra said their daughter has made remarkable progress.

“She’s been coming here since she was 5 months, so we’ve seen the progress,” said Jessica, “so being able to be with other kids, with her therapists in a different environment is really nice.”

“As parents, we’re doing our best to be able to raise her well, but obviously, when she comes here as well, each and every therapist who has contributed to make her who she is today is definitely a very great thing,” said Mohammed.

The children also got to take a ride on a life-size Polar Express train.

Man accused of vandalizing pro-Israel sign at Miami Beach business booked into Miami-Dade jail

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A 24-year-old man who is accused of vandalizing a pro-Israel sign at a Miami Beach business was transferred Wednesday to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, nearly a week after being arrested in Broward County.

Nour Abaido, of Coral Springs, was arrested last Friday and is facing a charge of criminal mischief with prejudice for damages over $200.

The hate crime happened in late October at Bagel Time Cafe, located at 3915 Alton Road in Miami Beach, just south of 41st Street.

The business had placed a banner up, stating “Bagel Time proudly stands with Israel.”

Police said Abaido was seen in the video exiting his vehicle after stopping in the middle of traffic, trying to take down the sign and then slashing it after he failed.

Authorities said he was caught on camera causing significant damage to the sign, which was valued at approximately $400.

Investigators are also searching for a woman who they said was caught on surveillance video vandalizing an Israeli and an American flag placed outside the same bagel shop earlier that week.

Police have not said if the two incidents are connected.

The public may report any suspected hate crimes in the county to the state attorney’s office by calling its “Hate Crime Hotline” at 786-687-2566.

Anyone with information on either case is also urged to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
