Maryland deputy killed in the line of duty, leaves behind wife and 3 children


PITTSVILLE, Md. (Grey Information) – A deputy in Maryland was killed within the line of responsibility, based on the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Workplace.

The sheriff’s workplace stated Deputy First Class Glenn Hilliard was gunned down Sunday evening whereas attempting to apprehend a fugitive who was wished on a number of felony warrants in a number of jurisdictions.

Hilliard was a 16-year veteran regulation enforcement officer. He would have celebrated his forty second birthday on June 22.

“This loss exacts an unlimited emotional toll on the Sheriff’s Workplace household, however we’ll do what is important and correct to honor Glenn and assist those that knew and liked him,” the sheriff’s workplace wrote on Fb. “Courageous women and men like Glenn Hilliard put their lives in peril on daily basis to guard our households, and I’m extraordinarily grateful to them for protecting our communities secure.”

Based on the sheriff’s workplace, the fugitive was captured after an intensive manhunt by dozens of regulation enforcement officers from all through the area.

Hilliard leaves behind a spouse and three kids.

“Our hearts and prayers exit to Glenn’s household throughout this tough time,” the sheriff’s workplace wrote.

Small plane crashes into water in Easton, Maryland


Maryland officials are responding to a report of a small plane crash.

According to Maryland State Police, a small plane crashed in the area of the 6800 block of Travelers Rest Circle in Easton. Talbot County Sheriff’s Office and Talbot County Fire EMS are on the scene alongside Maryland State Police.

Officials say the crash occurred around 8:30 a.m. and was reported around 9:30 a.m. There is no word on injuries at this time.

Motorcyclist Killed In Weekend Crash Identified As Silver Spring Man


SILVER SPRING, MD — A Silver Spring motorcyclist who died in a weekend crash was identified Monday by Montgomery County Police.

Investigators said Ezekial Solomon, 19, was driving a 2013 BMW S 1000 RR motorcycle northbound on Old Georgetown Road about 5 p.m. Saturday when he struck a maroon 2018 Honda Odyssey van that was southbound on Old Georgetown Road. The driver of the Honda was turning left onto eastbound Nicholson Lane.

The adult driver of the Honda remained on scene and was uninjured; police did not release that driver’s name.

Solomon was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a police news release.
