Staff Score Predictions: Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Atlanta Falcons

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-2) have dropped two straight video games by the hands of two of the highest groups within the league. Fortunately, the Atlanta Falcons (2-2) are coming to city in week 5 because the Buccaneers attempt to stop the primary three-game dropping streak of Tom Brady’s NFL profession. The Falcons are extraordinarily banged up on offense with working again Cordarrelle Patterson (knee) and tight finish Kyle Pitts (hamstring) out on Sunday.

Brady is 10-0 towards Atlanta throughout his profession, together with 4 wins since he signed with Tampa Bay. He’ll be seeking to proceed that profitable streak behind a productive offensive recreation after the unit discovered considerably of a rhythm within the loss to Kansas Metropolis. The Buccaneers scored a season-high 31 factors whereas Brady threw for 385 yards.

Atlanta has gained two straight video games coming into Sunday. Nevertheless, accidents and poor offensive play beneath Marcus Mariota have the Falcons headed in an unsure path.

Our workers gives their evaluation and predictions as Tampa Bay tries to bounce again.

Tampa Bay’s offense lastly bought going by means of the air final weekend with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Julio Jones, and Russell Gage all within the lineup. Now, Leonard Fournette, Rachaad White, and the offensive line might want to determine issues out on the bottom towards a strong Atlanta protection.

On the opposite aspect of the ball, the Buccaneers struggled immensely towards the Chiefs. Nevertheless, the Falcons have lots fewer weapons and two of their ability gamers are out of the lineup. Quarterback Marcus Mariota is coming off his worst efficiency of the season in a win over Cleveland the place he accomplished 7/19 passes for 139 yards and an interception.

There’s an excessive amount of uncertainty on Atlanta’s aspect this weekend. I believe the Buccaneers come collectively and deal with the Falcons pretty simply on Sunday. Count on Brady to play with some fireplace.

Season file: 4-0

The Buccaneers are in determined have to get again on observe and finish their two-game dropping streak. There may be nonetheless one objective and that is to guide a quite underwhelming NFC South Division. Proper now it is a battle between the Buccaneers and the Falcons… Who would have thought?

I believe you see Tom Brady alongside Mike Evans and Chris Godwin have an enormous recreation on this one. Byron Leftwich wants to search out the run recreation once more and get Leonard Fournette in a groove with a splash of Rachaad White right here and there. I believe the passing assault could have an even bigger presence in the long run, although.

The Buccaneers get again into the profitable column and by a good margin.

Season file: 1-3

It is not usually Todd Bowles’ protection would not battle again. It is also not usually Lavonte David lets a decent finish go off the way in which Travis Kelce did, and permits one other one to do it the following week.

Oh, and Tom Brady would not often respect when outdoors noise about him will get loud, and he likes to take that out on his opponents. So, mainly, this could not be a worse time to face the Bucs.

The silver lining of the Buccaneers being completely dismantled by the Kansas Metropolis Chiefs final Sunday evening is that Tampa Bay’s offense was compelled to resort to a pass-first method to attempt to sustain. Though it was too little, too late for the Bucs to win that recreation, the hope is that the expertise will function a get up name to offensive coordinator, Byron Leftwich, who I consider must be extra aggressive by means of the air — particularly early in video games — with a purpose to maximize the expertise on this roster.

I nonetheless assume the Bucs’ protection is among the higher models within the league high to backside, and their efficiency towards the Chiefs will find yourself taking place as extra of an outlier than their distinctive efficiency by means of the primary 3 video games of the season. I anticipate the protection to do its half towards an improved Atlanta Falcons offense in week 5, and with a wholesome solid of playmakers on offense, Tom Brady and the Bucs’ are going to place up loads of factors this week.

Season file: 3-1* (bought married in week 3)

Final week’s recreation towards the Kansas Metropolis Chiefs was a 180 from the primary three video games. The offense discovered considerably of a rhythm, however the protection was picked aside by Patrick Mahomes and firm. The offense would have appeared lots higher if not for penalties, turnovers, and having to play from behind – limiting the working recreation.

Issues must be totally different this week because the Bucs host their NFC division rivals, the Atlanta Falcons. Mariota and the Falcons aren’t essentially the powerhouse offense that the Chiefs are so I anticipate the protection to get again on observe this week, particularly if Kyle Pitts is out.

The offense ought to be capable to do sufficient and can look to determine the run recreation proper out of the gates. Search for the Bucs to attempt to management this recreation all through, which has but to be seen.

Season file: 2-2

The previous two weeks of the season haven’t been something the Buccaneers have been hoping for. Fairly frankly, the primary 4 video games of the season weren’t both. This can be a good time for them to bounce again and get a simple win at dwelling towards a Falcons staff that shouldn’t be on the identical area as them.

Season file: 4-0

With a number of off the sector drama and a sluggish begin to the offense, Tom Brady and the Bucs discover their rhythm and deal with the Falcons.

Season file: 3-1

CONSENSUS: Kansas Metropolis (7-0)
