North Dakota Senators critique President Biden after State of The Union Address
(Bismarck, ND) — The State of The Union Address was delivered by President Joe Biden in Washington D.C. Thursday night, and North Dakota’s Senators say it left more to be desired.
Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer, both members of the GOP, issued the following statements after the State of The Union Address.
“I thought it was the worst State of the Union address I have ever listened to or sat through. We listened to an unhinged, angry, bitter old man screaming and pointing his finger at all his naughty children instead of taking responsibility for the messes he caused[…] I almost felt badly for the old guy. I hope we can keep it together as a nation until we can make a change in the White House,” said Senator Kevin Cramer
“President Biden and his administration continue to take our country in the wrong direction with their big government policies. Families are being challenged every day by rising costs, with paychecks that don’t go as far as they used to everywhere from the grocery store to the gas pump. The president has failed to enforce our laws, which has led to the crisis at our southern border with record numbers of illegal crossings. Our adversaries, like Russia, China and Iran, are becoming more aggressive,” said Senator John Hoeven.
President Biden addressed multiple topics during the State of The Union Address, oftentimes speaking with passion and yelling towards hecklers. He spoke on topics like the economy, his age, the U.S. and Mexico border, abortion, taxation on large corporations, foreign aid to countries like Israel and Ukraine, and several more.

(North Dakota Monitor) – North Dakota Democrats rallied for a turnaround endorsing several candidates for statewide office to take on Republicans in November.
The Democratic-NPL Party endorsed state Sen. Ryan Braunberger of Fargo for secretary of state, Scot Kelsh of Fargo and John Pederson of Mayville for Public Service Commission and Tim Lamb of Grand Forks for attorney general. The party also issued a letter of support for Tracy Foss of Hatton for superintendent of public instruction.
Democrats have 429 delegates participating, which Party Chair Adam Goldwyn said is the most since 2018. The party has 49 legislative candidates so far, but Goldwyn challenged attendees to field candidates in districts that don’t yet have anyone running.
“The North Dakota Democratic-NPL party has one goal: contest every single election up and down the ballot all across the state,” Goldwyn said.
