Southeastern Returns to Action at LaTour Intercollegiate – Southeastern Louisiana University Athletics

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men’s golf team will return to action this week, traveling to Mathews, Louisiana to compete in the LaTour Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday at LaTour Golf Club.

The first two rounds are scheduled to tee off at 7:45 a.m. Monday with the final 18 holes set for Tuesday. Live scoring, provided by the hosts, will be accessible via the men’s golf schedule page at www.LionSports.net.

Southeastern and the host Colonels will be among six Southland Conference schools in the tournament field, along with Stephen F. Austin, New Orleans, HCU and Texas A&M-Commerce. UT Martin, Southern, Prairie View, Lindenwood, Mobile and South Dakota round out the tournament team participants, while four LSU players will compete as individuals.

Viggo Hed, the reigning SLC Golfer of the Month, will lead the Lions after opening his collegiate career with a pair of under-par showings. Griffin Dorr, Landen East, Patrick Blaum and Preston Paulk will represent the Lions this week in Mathews.

Southeastern will be included in a playing group that includes SFA and Lindenwood, as well as players competing as individuals from LSU and UT Martin, for Monday’s opening two rounds.

Following this week’s action, Southeastern will close out its fall schedule at the Fall Husky Intercollegiate Oct. 28-29 in Sugar Land, Texas.
