Governor Asa Hutchinson introduced at present that he’d named Nathaniel “Nate” Todd, secretary of the Arkansas Division of Veterans Affairs, to a 10-year time period on the College of Arkansas Board of Trustees.

He succeeds Dr. Stephen Broughton, whose time period expired in March. Todd will succeed Broughton as the one Black individual on the UA Board. The ten-member Board has one girl member. The others are white males.

He would be the solely member of the UA Board who didn’t attend a UA campus. Stated a launch:

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Expertise from the College of Houston, Houston Texas; a Grasp of Science in Well being Care Administration from Baylor College; and a Chief Monetary Officer Management Certification from the Nationwide Protection College, Fort McNair, Washington, D.C. He’s a graduate of the Chief Monetary Officer Management Program of the Nationwide Protection College in Washington D.C., a Nationwide Safety Administration Fellow from Syracuse College, and a graduate of the Govt Medical Management Course at George Washington College in Washington

He’s a 37-year veteran of the Military and Military Reserve and his jobs included chief monetary officer for Walter Reed Military Medical Heart in Washington. He was chief monetary officer of the Central Arkansas Veterans Well being Care System when Hutchinson appointed him director of the Division of Veterans Affairs in 2017 and the governor made him a cupboard secretary beneath a reorganization of state companies.
