Video shows moments after boy, 10, attacked by shark during tank expedition at Bahamas resort
Video has surfaced of the moments after a 10-year-old Maryland boy was attacked by a shark while vacationing in the Bahamas earlier this month.
The video, obtained by TMZ, starts by showing the bottom of the diving experience tank before it quickly pans up to the boy, whose blood can be seen oozing into the water at a rapid pace.
Someone points to what is happening, while a shark can be seen swimming near the boy’s legs. A man, said to be the boy’s father, can be seen jumping into the tank to pull his son to safety.
“So what happened there?” a woman can be heard asking as the 21-second clip comes to an end, and pans away from the tank.

The boy was participating in a “Walking with Sharks” excursion at the Atlantis Bahamas resort on Jan. 16, “which promises 30 minutes of fun for children aged 10 and up with nurse and reef sharks for $110,” the New York Post reports.
The diving experience owner said the following day that an internal investigation was underway.

“Incidents like this involving interactions with marine life, even with the species of sharks included in this experience, are rare and never acceptable,” Stuart Cove, of Blue Adventures, said in a statement. The experience has temporarily closed and the company is cooperating with police in their investigation.
The boy was bitten in his right leg and taken to a hospital for treatment. He was airlifted to Maryland for continued care on Jan. 17, the Daily Mail reported.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. The subject was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where she was processed and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.
Missed Court, Weapons Charge On Thursday May 28, 2026, at 10:52 p.m., troopers arrested Joshua Harrington, 19, of 9 Bunny Trail, Hope, Rhode Island, for a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Weapons Other Than Firearms, originating out of the Coventry Police Department.
This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Cowesett Avenue in the Town of West Warwick. Harrington was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center.
Fentanyl Possession On Friday May 29, at 10:32 p.m., troopers arrested Victoria Barrett, 33 of 981 Main St., West Warwick, Rhode Island, for 1.) Possession of Schedule I to V Controlled Substance – Less than 10 Grams (Fentanyl) and 2.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Possession of Schedule I to V Controlled Substance, originating out of the Rhode Island State Police – Lincoln Woods Barracks. This arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation by Seargent O’Donnell and Troopers subsequently taking Barrett into custody at her residence. Barrett was processed at State Police Headquarters, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions – Women’s Intake Center.
Students who plan to enter the workforce after graduation are being celebrated at the Northwest Career & Technical Center’s 2026 Skilled Trades Signing Day.
The event is scheduled for 1 to 2:30 p.m. June 5 in the BFA Saint Albans Gymnasium, according to a community announcement.
