Shenandoah Heights resident and Carbon County native Timothy M. Henning has officially declared his candidacy as a Libertarian candidate for the Pennsylvania State Senate, 29th District.
Henning, a proud alumnus of Lehighton Area High School, embarked on a path of service by enlisting in the U.S. Army in 2001. After completing basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia, he was assigned to the 1st Infantry Division and stationed in Vilseck, Germany, as an 11B Infantryman.
During his military career, Henning participated in peacekeeping missions in Kosovo and took part in multiple combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. He also served in Guantanamo Bay, acquiring valuable insights into America’s foreign engagements. His distinguished service included roles with the 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment and the Military Police. Henning was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, among other commendations, and retired honorably from the Army in 2019.
Henning currently resides in Shenandoah Heights with his wife Justine and their three Great Danes.
Henning’s campaign is focused on ensuring the safety and security of all Pennsylvania residents. His platform emphasizes community security, infrastructure improvement, and enhancing educational opportunities across the state.
“As someone who has served from the frontline to the home front, I understand the importance of safety and security in our communities,” Henning stated. “I am dedicated to fighting for the betterment of Pennsylvania, addressing critical issues that impact our citizens on a daily basis.”
Henning is currently obtaining signatures to get his name added to the ballot in the General Election.
