NFC North standings: With Lions loss, can Vikings take first place?

(FOX 9) – The Detroit Lions suffered their second loss of the season on Sunday, losing in a shootout to the Buffalo Bills.
NFC North division standings
What we know: The Lions still sit atop the NFC North with a 12-2 record. The Minnesota Vikings are in second place at 11-2 but can move to 12-2 if they win on Monday Night Football versus the Bears.
Context: But even if the Vikings win Monday night, the Lions will still retain control of the NFC North because of their head-to-head record. The Lions beat the Vikings in Week 7 in Minneapolis, with Detroit eeking past Minnesota, 31-29.
What’s next?: Control of the division could come down to the final Week 18 matchup between the Lions and Vikings in Detroit.
NFC conference standings
Big picture: The Lions are also still the top seed in the NFC, despite the loss and the Philadelphia Eagles win on Sunday.
Both teams are 12-2, but the Lions hold the tiebreaker with the Eagles due to their conference record.
The top team in each conference earns a bye in the Wildcard Round of the playoffs.
What’s next?: The Vikings could clinch a playoff spot on Sunday, if the Packers defeat the Seahawks on Sunday night football.

Sunday forecast
Weather forecast: The fog and mist may linger through midday on Sunday for a large chunk of the state with a quiet and cloudy afternoon.
A system will bring a chance of snow to northern Minnesota tomorrow with a few rain drops or flurries in the south.
Winds will pick up throughout the day with a rather gusty forecast for western Minnesota on Monday.
Looking ahead
What we know: The front that passes by on Monday will bring cooler temperatures for the rest of the week.
The forecast shows a couple of chances of light snow this week.
One on Tuesday for southern Minnesota and another chance of light snow arriving on Thursday for mainly the northern half of the state.
Cooler temperatures arrive on Friday and into Saturday.

“We don’t have a country, but there are certain dishes that are ours,” Moua said.
She is now making those dishes at Diane’s Place, which she opened this past spring as a breakfast and lunch cafe, and more recently added dinner, slowly revealing her capabilities to a city that knew her best through her exceptional pastries.

Customers who try it for the first time gain a peek into Hmong kitchens and are introduced, in a way, to the girls and women keeping them running. Others know the dish well, but here, they get to see it in an entirely new light, in the context of fine dining.
“All the ladies that come in, they’re like, ‘We’re so happy to be here,’ and I’m like, ‘Ladies, this is for all of us,’” Moua said. “You know, you can’t get that sisterhood anywhere else. Like, you go to a funeral and you don’t know anybody? Just go in the kitchen, and they’re like, ‘Hey, chop these onions, wash this, do this.’ That’s how you make friends.”
At Diane’s Place, where her children, now 24 and 19, work with her, we all get to become Moua’s friend for a delicious moment.
