Robbery suspect, Milwaukee police officer killed in struggle, shooting during pursuit: officials


MILWAUKEE (WLS) — A Milwaukee police officer was shot and killed whereas pursuing a theft suspect early Tuesday morning on town’s South Aspect, metropolis officers stated throughout an emotional press convention later Tuesday.

Officers responded to the 2700-block of 14th Road simply earlier than 1:30 a.m. seeking a suspect linked to a theft, Milwaukee Police Chief Jeffrey Norman stated.

Police discovered the suspect, who ignored instructions and fled on foot, officers stated.

One officer caught up, and a battle ensued.

Photographs have been fired, and each a 37-year-old male officer and the 19-year-old suspect have been wounded, police stated.

The officer was taken to a close-by hospital, the place he died.

The suspect died on the scene, however it was not clear if the person was shot by an officer or if it the harm was self-inflicted, police stated.

Milwaukee Christmas Day stabbing; man arrested

A 25-year-old was stabbed in Milwaukee on Wednesday, Dec. 25.

The Milwaukee Police Department said it happened at approximately 1:15 p.m. near 36th and Sarnow. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.

The suspect, a 30-year-old man, stabbed the victim during a fight. Police said the incident was domestic violence related.

The suspect was arrested.

Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
