‘Superman’s Cleveland: Lineage and Legacy’ Event Announced for Cleveland, OH

The City of Cleveland, Ohio will play host to 2 months of programs across the city entitled “Superman’s Cleveland: Lineage and Legacy”, a city-wide celebration of the heritage of Superman, the world’s first comic book superhero invented in 1938 in Glenville by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, two Jewish high school students.

Taking place this Fall from September 6th – November 2nd, scholars and comic book lovers will join interested Clevelanders in book discussions, comics-making workshops, live interviews with creators, and a rich lineup of programs exploring the lineage and legacy of Superman and Cleveland.

This year marks the 85th anniversary of the creation of Superman, the first superhero and Cleveland’s most iconic contribution to American and world cultures.

Hosted by the Rust Belt Humanities Lab at Ursuline College and the Ohio Center for the Book at Cleveland Public Library, Superman’s Cleveland gathers institutional partners from across Northeast Ohio.

Superman’s Cleveland is for everyone, comics fans, families, scholars, history buffs, regional boosters, and lovers of culture across the greater Cleveland area.

WWE SummerSlam 2024 takes place this evening, live from Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.

Scheduled for tonight’s premium live event is Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa in a Bloodline Rules match for the WWE Universal Championship, Damian Priest vs. GUNTHER for the WWE World Championship, as well as CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre with Seth “Freakin’” Rollins as the special guest referee.

Matt and Jeff Hardy reportedly meet with WWE officials in Cleveland, OH – NoDQ.com: WWE and AEW Coverage


Matt and Jeff Hardy are in Cleveland, OH for today’s Wrestlecon Destination event. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, it was confirmed that the team met with WWE officials while in the area. Matt and Jeff are currently advertised for tomorrow night’s TNA Wrestling event in Tampa, FL.

Johnson stated the following…

“We are told that The Hardys met with WWE very early this morning. No word on what was discussed, but we have also heard some content was filmed to be rolled out via WWE digital as well.”

Matt and Jeff recently teased the idea of challenging for the WWE NXT tag team titles. Jeff has also commented on potentially being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame with his brother.
