Cleveland student injured after falling into a manhole
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A highschool scholar suffered minor accidents Monday after she fell right into a manhole within the metropolis’s Tremont neighborhood.
The scholar attends Northeast Ohio Faculty Preparatory College within the 2300 block of Tremont Ave.
College officers stated the lady was strolling to high school within the space of W. tenth and Tremont Avenues when she landed within the manhole.
She was in a position to get herself out of the manhole.
College officers added the coed was not severely injured, however her mother did take her to a neighborhood hospital to be evaluated.
Cleveland metropolis officers stated the manhole, situated near the curb, had a free cowl.
A metropolis inspector has since secured the duvet.

Car crashes into market in Cleveland’s Bellaire-Puritas neighborhood
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Vienna Market is left with a gaping hole after a car crashed into the Cleveland deli on Wednesday.
The crash happened just after noon at 15115 Puritas Ave.
The owner told 19 News he opened the market just three months ago.
He said his son was working the front counter when a Chevy Impala smashed through the front windows and door.
His son had to jump across the other side of the counter to get out of the way, the owner said.
The entire Impala was parked in the store after pushing through the deli case and into the kitchen, the owner described.
The owner said he was already on his way to the store when he got the call that his business had been destroyed.
A witness told 19 News they saw an older man being taken away in an ambulance.
Cleveland EMS was unable to confirm his condition.
The owner said he learned the older man was a frequent customer who was behind the wheel.
Despite the ordeal, the owner said thanked God no one was seriously hurt.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
A tow truck is on scene, but the Chevy was able to be driven out of the store.
The Chevy sustained damage to the front, roof, and the rear windshield was broken.
19 News is working to confirm the extent of the structural damage done to the building.
Aside from the front door and half of the front windows broken, along with the deli case getting crushed, the market sustained damage all the way up to the drop ceiling, which has partially collapsed.

Man pulled from waters of Wade Lagoon at Cleveland Museum of Art
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A man approximately 35-years-old was taken to University Hospital in critical condition after a citizen pulled the man from the waters of Wade Lagoon located in front of the Cleveland Museum of Art.
The citizen performed CPR on the man after pulling him out.
First responders were called to the scene around 5:20 p.m.
Police don’t believe there was anything criminal about how the man ended up in the water.

Group of people wanted for breaking into multiple vehicles in Ohio City
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Police have released surveillance pictures of another suspect wanted for breaking into multiple vehicles in Ohio City.
According to Cleveland police, the thieves target vehicles in the area of W. 33rd Street and Lorain Avenue during the day.
On Tuesday, police released surveillance pictures of several other suspects believed to be involved in the same “crimes of opportunity.”
“It’s frustrating for the community. It’s definitely a crime we want to minimize and detour as quickly as we can,” said Cleveland Police Sgt. Freddy Diaz.
