CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The 28-year-old Bedford Heights man arrested driving murdered Cleveland Police Officer Shane Bartek’s stolen automotive pleaded responsible Thursday in entrance of Cuyahoga County Court docket of Frequent Pleas Decide John Russo.
Anthony Butler Jr. was convicted of unauthorized use of a motorcar, failure to conform, receiving stolen property and obstructing official enterprise.
Butler was then sentenced to 3 years in jail.
Officer Bartek, 25, was shot and killed throughout a carjacking on Dec. 31, 2021 within the car parking zone of an house constructing at 4320 Rocky River Drive in Cleveland whereas he was off-duty.

Cleveland police mentioned Tamara McLoyd, 18, of Garfield Heights, approached Officer Bartek within the car parking zone with a gun, a wrestle ensued and Officer Bartek was shot twice.
McLoyd then allegedly fled in Officer Bartek’s automotive.
A number of hours later, Officer Bartek’s stolen car was noticed by police and after a multi-jurisdictional police pursuit, the car was recovered in Euclid and Butler was taken into custody.
McLoyd has pleaded not responsible to the costs of aggravated homicide, homicide, aggravated theft, felonious assault on a police officer, grand theft, petty theft and having weapons below incapacity.
She can also be charged in reference to a number of unrelated aggravated robberies.
She stays held on a $5 million bond on the Cuyahoga County Justice Middle and her trial is scheduled to start on July 25.
The Cleveland Browns have a plethora of former players who have spread their wings and found success elsewhere after leaving Northeast Ohio, and the Miami Dolphins are one of those teams with plenty of them.
As the Dolphins travel to Huntington Bank Field on Sunday afternoon, their roster (including players on Injured Reserve) has a total of seven former Browns players on it. Some only hung on the roster through training camp and preseason games without making the final roster, a couple were former draft picks of the Browns, and others were free agent additions who simply passed through before signing with their next team in future seasons.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the man who was shot dead in Downtown Cleveland early Christmas Eve morning, police confirmed.
The Cleveland Division of Police said officers were called to East 13th Street and Superior Avenue for a gunshot victim.
The call came in at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 24, according to police.
Officers arrived to find a 42-year-old man who was shot lying unconscious in the street, said police.

The 42-year-old was later identified as Anton McCall II.
Police said officers quickly rendered first aid until Cleveland EMS arrived.
Cleveland EMS said he was in critical condition as they took him to MetroHealth Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Police said no further information is being released at this time in the ongoing investigation.
