Univ. of Wyoming Is Offering Free Language Courses
If you wish to choose up a brand new language, that is your time to take action! A complete of twenty-two nonformal world language and tradition periods can be found free by way of Zoom and registrations at the moment are being accepted for the favored World Language and Tradition Program (WLCP) on the College of Wyoming this semester.
The WLCP is a volunteer and service-learning program that gives free world language and tradition periods to members of the UW group and to these all through the state. Sure, which means EVERYONE CAN JOIN!

About WLCP’s Founder
Dilnoza Khasilova, a UW graduate who earned her doctoral diploma in literacy research and is a present World Engagement Fellow in UW’s World Engagement Workplace, developed the WLCP in 2013. This system was launched in 2014 with the assistance of each UW’s native and worldwide communities, together with UW’s graduate college students, college, employees, and undergraduate alternate college students who volunteered to show their goal languages and cultures.
Khasilova says,

The Related College students of UW, the UW Middle for Pupil Involvement and Management, the Faculty of Schooling, the World Engagement Workplace (Worldwide College students and Students, Schooling Overseas), the Worldwide Research Program, and the Division of Trendy and Classical Languages collaborate with the WLCP, helping with scheduling lecture rooms, recruiting volunteers and supporting cultural occasions on campus to rejoice world languages and cultures.

WYOMING AREA TRACK AND FIELD: Both teams produce 100-plus points in openers | The Sunday Dispatch
Wyoming Area ran its Wyoming Valley Conference boys track and field winning streak to 32 meets when it began pursuit of a sixth straight Division 2 title with Thursday’s 135-5 rout of visiting Nanticoke.
Michael Janosky sprinted to wins in the 100- and 200-meter dashes and as part of the 400 and 1600 relay teams as the Warriors won every event.
Colby Walsh won the 3200 and 1600 by wide margins and led off the winning 3200 relay team. Lidge Kellum won both hurdles races and was part of the 400 relay win.
Luke Kopetchny won both the long jump and triple jump.
Brady Kearns won the 400 and was part of two relay wins, including the 3200 as the anchor.
Drew Keating won the 800 and covered the same distance as part of the 3200 relay win.
Jack Gravine anchored the 400 relay win and was the winner in the javelin.
Wyoming Area girls 104, Nanticoke 45
Kierstyn Orlandini ran to wins the 1600 and 3200 and was part of a 3200 relay victory Thursday as the Wyoming Area girls also opened their title defense with a convincing win.
Taylor Gashi also won two individual events while Ella McKernan and Isabella Costa were three-time winners with an individual victory and two relay wins.
Gashi’s wins came in the discus and long jump.
McKernan, who won the 800, and Costa, who finished first in the 100, were both part of the 1600 relay team. McKernan was also part of the 3200 while Costa contributed to the 400 relay.
Welcome to Week 2 of the Wyoming High School outdoor track and field season. More teams will compete for the first time this year. The in-state track meets will be in Newcastle, Wheatland, Burlington, Pine Bluffs, Sheridan, and Rock Springs. A handful of schools will compete in either Colorado, Nebraska, or Utah.

Big Piney girls placed 3rd at 85.50 team points. The BP boys took 6th with 24 points. Micah Strong from BP won the girls’ 100 & 400 meters and 3rd in the 800 meters.
