Flood Watch Issued For Cheyenne, Laramie, Casper, SE Wyoming


The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for all of southeast Wyoming from Thursday afternoon into Friday night

The watch area includes the communities of Cheyenne, Laramie, Torrington, Wheatland, Douglas and Casper.

The agency posted this statement on it’s website:

Scattered to numerous slow-moving thunderstorms will begin to spread across the forecast region Thursday afternoon, and persist occasionally through Friday afternoon. Heavy rainfall is expected where thunderstorms persist for prolonged periods of time. Flooding is possible in areas due to saturated soils. Find your local forecast at weather.gov/cys

Police seek information on theft at Murdoch's in Cheyenne

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Cheyenne police are seeking information about a theft at Murdoch’s Ranch & Home Supply on East Lincolnway.

According to police, surveillance footage shows an unidentified individual entering the store, taking two chainsaws and leaving without paying. Authorities believe the suspect may be traveling in a blue sedan.

Anyone with information leading to the suspect’s location and arrest or other crimes is encouraged to visit www.silentwitnesslaramiecounty.com.

The tournaments are in Ethete, Green River, Lander, Lingle, Pavillion, Rock Springs, Shoshoni, Sundance, and Yoder. A few schools will be playing out of state, as well. LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Obi Agbim had 28 points in Wyoming’s 92-55 victory against Bellarmine on Thursday night.

Agbim had five rebounds and five assists for the Cowboys (6-5). A.J. Wills scored 13 points while shooting 5 for 7, including 3 for 5 from beyond the arc and added seven assists. Matija Belic finished 6 of 9 from the field to finish with 12 points.

The Knights (3-9) were led by Kenyon Goodin, who posted 13 points.

Agbim led his team in scoring with 13 points in the first half to help put them up 52-28 at the break. Wyoming extended its lead to 71-36 during the second half, fueled by a 10-0 scoring run. Agbim scored a team-high 15 points in the second half.
