A three-year-old toddler who has only just become verbal was captured yelling ‘I’m coming papa!’ in a tear-jerking video the moment his grandfather returned from a work trip in Dubai.
Sandra Merry Lemoine, 53, filmed the special moment between her grandson and her husband Terrell and posted it to TikTok on July 24.
In the short 9 second clip, which has been viewed 3 million times, Sandra’s grandson, Bennett is seen bounding toward his grandfather.
The three-year-old, elated to see Terrell, could not hold back his excitement as he ran through the arrivals area of Lafayette Regional Airport in Louisiana.
In a phone interview with McClathy News, Sandra said the video which has been liked 369,000 times and shared thousands of times over is ‘more than just a video.’

‘It’s a short video that everyone seems to love, but for us it’s bigger than that,’ she told the outlet.
‘Bennett wasn’t speaking and didn’t speak until about three months ago. Him saying ‘I’m coming papa,’ is really special for us.’
The 53-year-old said that the couple, who have been together for 25 years according to posts made to her TikTok, have seven grandchildren including Bennett.
‘Everyone loves their papa. Bennett might just love him a little more,’ she explained.
Terrell, 52, works for an oil company on the water overseas and was gone for two months.
She added that Bennett’s parents live an hour away from the doting grandparents in the U.S.

‘Normally my husband gets in really late at night but this time he arrived at like 7:30 p.m., so they were able to make the trip,’ said Sandra.
The heartwarming moment left many who were at the arrival terminal in tears saying the reunion was emotional for some.
Sandra’s followers also commented that their own hearts melted and that Bennett ‘wins the award for cuteness overload.’
Sandra also recorded a second video with Terrell doing a ‘secret handshake’ with their granddaughter upon his return.
She captioned the four second clip ‘Papa doing his secret handshake with Buggy, yeah, he’s pretty great!’
In the video, Terrell and his granddaughter do the handshake ending the moment with a hug. Sandra said ‘Papa loves his g-babies. And they ADORE him.’
