Grant Street shooting: Man shot, killed in southeast Atlanta neighborhood
ATLANTA – A southeast Atlanta shooting left a man dead on Friday evening.
It happened around 8:20 p.m. in the 1300 block of Grant Street near McDonough Boulevard. Officers with the Atlanta Police Department arrived at the scene and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man was rushed to an area hospital where he died.
Few details have been released on the shooting as police say the investigation is still in its early stages.
The name of the man has not been released.
Police have not announced any arrests.
The Atlanta Police Department Homicide Unit is investigating.

Driver dies after head-on crash with MARTA bus in NW Atlanta

ATLANTA – A Jeep driver died in the hospital Saturday morning after their SUV crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a MARTA bus in northwest Atlanta.
What we know:
Atlanta police responded to the crash around 8:14 a.m. near 266 Hamilton E. Holmes Drive NW.
When they arrived, they discovered a MARTA bus, and a Jeep Patriot had collided head-on.
The driver of the Jeep Patriot was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and later died from their injuries.
No one on the bus was reportedly injured, police said,
Investigators said that the Jeep Patriot had crossed into the opposing travel lane when it crashed into the MARTA bus.
An investigation is ongoing.
What we don’t know:
Authorities have not yet released the name of the driver who died.
It also remains unclear why the Jeep traveled into the opposing lane of traffic before the impact.

Man shot at Atlanta convenience store overnight, police say
ATLANTA – Atlanta police are investigating an overnight shooting that left a man injured.
What we know:
According to authorities, the man was shot at a convenience store before driving with at least two other people in the car to a fire station on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway to seek help.
Officers said the victim was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. His condition has not been released.

Police have not identified a suspect, and the investigation remains ongoing.
