Charges dropped for man in deadly 2020 Fourth of July shooting in Atlanta


The Fulton County District Legal professional’s Workplace has dropped costs towards a person accused in a July 2020 mass taking pictures in the course of the celebration at a northeast Atlanta intersection.

Da’Andre Brown, who was arrested two months after the lethal taking pictures, was initially charged with homicide and aggravated assault. Authorities say whereas there was enough possible trigger to arrest Brown, extra data acquired by investigators didn’t help the fees.

His mom says Brown spent greater than two years in jail, when she says he was really a sufferer.

Jerry Emile, who was arrested in August 2020, was initially charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. These costs have since been upgraded to incorporate homicide.

Police searching for Christmas Eve shoplifting suspect at Ponce City Market

Investigators are asking the public for help identifying a suspect in a Christmas Eve shoplifting case at Atlanta’s Ponce City Market.

Officials say the theft happened at the Nike store at the popular shopping mall and food hall on Ponce de Leon Avenue.

According to police, the suspect was seen on camera walking into the store and grabbing multiple items of clothing.

Investigators are offering a reward of up to $2,000 for any information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case.
