You can visit these Pa. museums for free on Charter Day, the state’s birthday
Pennsylvania turns 342 years outdated this Sunday. And the state is celebrating by providing free admission to a lot of its state-operated museums and historic websites.
Generally known as Constitution Day, March 12 is when England’s King Charles II granted a constitution to William Penn in 1681, formally creating Pennsylvania.
To have fun, the Pennsylvania Historic & Museum Fee and the Pennsylvania State Archives could have a uncommon show of William Penn’s authentic constitution on show at The State Museum of Pennsylvania, 300 North St., Harrisburg, from March 12 till 1 p.m. March 17.
