Bryce Epps scored 27 factors and took MVP honors as South Allegheny defeated Elizabeth Ahead, 66-43, Tuesday evening to win the vacation match hosted by the Gladiators.
Michael Michalski added 13 factors for South Allegheny (8-0). Drew Prepare dinner led Elizabeth Ahead (4-6) with 14 factors and Cy Herchelroath added 13.
Aliquippa 39, Beaver Falls 23 – Cameron Lindsey scored 13 and DJ Walker added 11 factors to steer Aliquippa (2-1) to a win in opposition to Beaver Falls (2-4) in nonsection play. Jaren Brickner scored eight factors for the Tigers.
Bentworth 50, West Greene 36 – Landon Urcho scored 16 factors and Christian Could had 15 to steer Bentworth (6-2) previous West Greene (1-7) within the Bentworth match. Lane Allison led the Pioneers with 16 factors.
Berlin Brothersvalley 74, Ligonier Valley 40 – Ryan Bluebaugh led with 30 factors, Craig Jarvis adopted with 25, and Tempo Prosser added 16 to steer match host Berlin Brothersvalley (7-0) previous Ligonier Valley (1-8). Parker Hollick led the Rams with 10 factors.
Bishop Canevin 63, Montour 62 – Shea Champine made two foul pictures to present Bishop Canevin (6-0) the lead with 18 seconds left to beat Montour (2-6) in a match hosted by the Spartans. Champine completed with 41 factors and made three 3-pointers. Montour acquired 20 factors from Jake Wolfe. Ty Reed added 12 and made three 3-pointers.

Carmichaels 79, Beth-Heart 56 – Dominic Colarusso led with 29 factors, Aydan Adamson had 19 and Alec Anderson added 13 to steer Carmichaels (6-3) previous Beth-Heart (1-7) on the Carmichaels match. Brody Tharp scored 20 factors and Dom Revi and Jason Zeli every scored 10 factors for the Bulldogs.
Charleroi 51, Frazier 45 – Ben Shields scored 16 and Jacob Chambers had 10 factors to steer Charleroi (4-4) to a victory in a match hosted by the Cougars. Brennan Stewart scored 18 and Keyshaun Thompson added 12 factors for Frazier (1-8).

Ellwood Metropolis 64, Saegertown 47 – Joseph Roth recorded a double-double with 32 factors and 14 rebounds whereas Nate Williams scored 10 factors to steer Ellwood Metropolis (8-2) to a victory within the Mercer match. Henry Schaffer scored 18 factors and Brady Greco completed with 17 for Saegertown.
Gateway 72, Burrell 32 – Jaydon Carr scored 15 factors to steer 4 gamers in double figures for Gateway (4-3) on the Vacation Bash at North Allegheny. Kaleb Prior had 14, Taili Thompson 13 and MJ Stevenson 11. Tucker Bitar led Burrell (3-6) with 11.
Jefferson-Morgan 63, Mapletown 42 – Troy Wright scored 20 factors and Houston Guseman contributed 18 to steer Jefferson-Morgan (5-4) to a win on the Carmichaels match. Landan Stevenson led Mapletown (2-5) with 17 factors.
New Citadel 75, Meadville 39 – Jon Anderson scored 21 factors as New Citadel (7-0) cruised within the first recreation of the Farrell match.
North Hills 83, Grove Metropolis 81 (2OT) – Jake Pollaro (21), Jayden Thomas (17), Zach Pollaro (15), Logan Johnson (13) and Eric James (12) all scored in double figures for North Hills (6-1) in a slim victory over Grove Metropolis within the Hampton Match. Brett Loughery scored 26 factors, Nate Greer adopted with 24 and Kanden Martin completed with 17 for Grove Metropolis.

Brennan Rutledge scored 17 factors, Troy Anderson had 14 and Easton Anderson added 13 for the Wildcats.
Serra Catholic 66, Seton LaSalle 50 – Joe DeMoss and Owen Dumbroski every scored 20 factors and Isaiah Petty added 15 to steer Serra Catholic (3-6) to a win over Seton LaSalle (1-7) within the South Allegheny match. Hayden Service provider put up 21 and Patrick Weldon had 11 for the Rebels.
South Fayette 72, McKeesport 42 – Elijah Hill put up 25 factors and Michael Plasko added 18 as South Fayette (5-2) beat McKeesport (1-6) within the Hampton match. Travarese Rowe scored 10 factors to steer the Tigers.
Southmoreland 59, California 31 – Ty Keffer scored 20 factors, Elijah Myers had 16 and Ronnie Collins added 10 to steer Southmoreland (6-1) to a Charleroi match win over California (3-4).
St. Joseph 51, Valley 48 – Jimmy Giannetta scored 19 factors and Ethan Zale added 18 as St. Joseph (5-3) received on the match hosted by the Spartans. Dallas Worth scored 15 and Xavier Wilson had 14 for Valley (2-7).

Fort Cherry 42, West Allegheny 41 – Raney Staub scored 20 factors, together with the game-winning basket with 4.2 seconds left, as Fort Cherry (5-3) received on the McGuffey match. Alaina Holtz scored 14 and Olivia Ginocchi added 12 for West Allegheny (2-5).
Freeport 47, Burrell 23 – Ava Soilis completed with 16 factors and Morgan Croney scored 15 to energy Freeport (5-5) to a win on the St. Joseph match. Ann Clark led Burrell (4-5) with seven factors. The Bucs led 9-5 after one quarter earlier than the Yellowjackets took management with a 19-6 surge within the second.
Geibel 30, Bentworth 29 – Emma Larkin scored 17 factors to steer Geibel (4-4) to a slim victory in a match hosted by Bentworth (3-6). Grace Skerbetz scored 11 factors for the Bearcats.

Greensburg Salem 58, Uniontown 20 – Kaitlyn Mankins scored 18 factors and Ashlan Worth added 12 for Greensburg Salem (7-1) in a win on the Mt. Nice match. The Golden Lions jumped out to a 22-1 lead after one quarter. Azirah Wilson led Uniontown (0-8) with six factors.
Highlands 52, North Hills 38 – Katelyn Myers scored 32 factors, together with an unofficial college document 10 3-pointers, to steer Highlands (4-4) previous North Hills (4-5) on the Golden Rams’ vacation match. Myers scored all 17 of Highlands’ factors within the first quarter and had 26 factors on the half. Olivia Waters led North Hills with 10 factors.
Hundred (WV) 52, Jeannette 47 – Risie Huggins scored 25 factors and Summer season Morris added 12 factors as Hundred (WV) beat Jeannette (0-9) within the Mapletown Match. Zoey Vincent had 21 factors for the Jayhawks.
Lincoln County 57, Hampton 51 – Abby Bryan scored 23 factors to steer Lincoln County to a win on the Pensacola (FL) match. Meghan Murray led Hampton (5-4) with 21 factors. Kathleen Milon had 15.
Mars 63, Baldwin 45 – Annalyn Isaacs scored 18 factors to steer Mars (7-1) on the Highlands match. Alexis Cashdollar added 13 factors and Lauren Atwell had 11 for the Fightin’ Planets. Gianna Schoenberg led Baldwin (3-7) with 16 factors. Laci Bernotas had 12.
McGuffey 63, Avella 49 – Taylor Schumacher led all scorers with 25 factors, Libby Mallah added 14 and Lexi Ewig scored 11 as McGuffey (8-2) beat Avella (5-3) in a match hosted by McGuffey. Katie Dyer scored 20 to succeed in 1,000 profession factors whereas Hannah Brownlee had 11 factors and Syd Strope completed with 10 for the Eagles.
McKeesport 47, Norwin 37 – Rachael Manfredo and Madison Hertzler every scored 12 factors and McKeesport (7-1) went on a 16-0 run within the third quarter at hand Norwin (7-1) its first lack of the season in a nonsection matchup. Kendall Berger led Norwin with 11 factors.
Mt. Nice 50, Brownsville 28 – Tiffany Zelmore scored a game-high 36 factors to steer Mt. Nice (7-2) to a victory in a match hosted by the Vikings. Skyler Gates scored 13 factors and Ava Clark added 11 for Brownsville (5-4).
Ringgold 36, Propel Montour 19 – Alexa Schwab scored 13 factors and Zoey Mundorff added 11 for Ringgold (1-7) in a victory within the Bentworth Match. Kahrijah Washington scored seven factors to steer Propel Montour (1-7).
South Fayette 68, St. Elizabeth 51 – Maddie Webber scored 21 factors, Rachel Black added 14 and Erica Corridor had 11 as South Fayette (6-1) defeated the host staff on the Vikings Invitational in Delaware. Erica Higgins scored 19 for St. Elizabeth.
St. Joseph 60, Valley 23 – Julie Spinelli had 18 factors and 10 rebounds to steer St. Joseph (6-2) on the match hosted by the Spartans. Emma Swierczewski added 15, Gia Richter had 11 and Anna Kreinbrook had 10 factors and 10 rebounds. Tori Johnson led Valley (2-8) with 11 factors.
Thomas Jefferson 33, Belle Vernon 32 – Julia Berberich had 11 factors and Laekyn Flinn scored 10 to steer Thomas Jefferson (6-2) previous Belle Vernon (3-5) within the Cal (Pa.) Hoopfest. Farrah Reader had eight factors for the Leopards.

3 Winning Lottery Tickets Sold In Philadelphia Recently
PHILADELPHIA — Three Pennsylvania Lottery tickets sold in Philadelphia recently have been named winners in separate contests, according to officials.
In the Saturday drawing for the Treasure Hunt game, five tickets won.
One of the tickets that matched all five numbers drawn, 2-6-10-25-26, was sold at 7-Eleven, 3301 Tyson Ave. in Philadelphia. The other was sold at Omgn Inc., 2100 East Allegheny Ave., also in Philadelphia.
Those ticket and three others split the jackpot prize of $139,917.50 to win $27,983.50.
The other winning tickets were sold in Bucks, Butler, and Lebanon counties.
More than 45,800 other Treasure Hunt tickets won prizes in the drawing. Players should check every ticket, every time.
Additionally, a West Philadelphia Wawa sold a winning lottery ticket.
Lottery officials Monday announced the winning Raffle ticket numbers drawn for the third, four $50,000 prizes in the 4s Galore Drawings as part of the New Year’s Millionaire Raffle.
The Wawa at 3744 Spruce St. sold a ticket between Dec. 3 and Dec. 16 that was selected in the drawing.
Other winning tickets were sold in Cumberland, Bradford, and Westmoreland counties.
The Raffle features four bonus drawings held every other week, each awarding four $50,000 prizes, leading up to the Millionaire Raffle drawing on Jan. 4, 2025.

HS FOOTBALL: LFC and WVC players selected as finalists for Pennsylvania Player of Year Award; Call receives invites to showcase games
Several athletes from the Lackawanna Football Conference and District 2 are among the 55 finalists for the Pennsylvania Player of the Year award selected by the Maxwell Football Club.
Abington Heights wide receiver Shawn Theodore, Honesdale running back Mason Avery, Riverside tight end Richie Kostoff, Scranton Prep quarterback Louis Paris and Wyoming Area running back Lidge Kellum were listed among the 55 players who are Mini Max Award winners according to a release Monday night by the Maxwell Football account on X.
The Mini Max Awards are a prestigious honor for high school football players across the Tri-State Region that includes Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. This year is the first year District 2 players were included among the nominees.
Awards are presented at the annual Mini Max Dinner in Philadelphia on Feb. 2 at the Drexelbrook Convention Center in Drexel Hill. The award recognizes outstanding athletic achievement and sportsmanship in high school football.
In addition to the Mini Max Awards, the Maxwell Football Club also chooses the Player of the Year for Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. The event culminates with the Jim Henry Award, which goes to one of the three State Players of the Year.
Call receives invites
Valley View freshman lineman Brody Call received invites to three postseason games.
Call, a 6-0, 230-pound standout for the Cougars, is invited to the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Dec. 26-29, the All-American Bowl on Jan. 17-20 in Miami, Florida, and the Polynesian Bowl Combine and Showcase in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 21-22.
Call started every game for the Cougars and helped lead the team to the District 2 Class 4A championship and an 11-2 record.

The 33rd Fiore Cesare Award and Scholarship ceremony is Friday at 2 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel in Scranton.
Mid Valley running back and defensive back Jakob Lesher, Delaware Valley quarterback and punter Logan Olsommer, Scranton Prep quarterback Louis Paris, Riverside quarterback Chase Taddonio and Western Wayne running back and defensive back Josh Vinton are the five finalists named by the Roy Davis Scranton Chapter of PIAA Football Officials.
