Shelter Me: Meet Mileena, a gentle spirit with lots of love – and kisses! – to give

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — This week, 6abc’s Shelter Me is featuring Mileena from LaMancha Animal Rescue in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.

Mileena is a 3-year-old terrier mix who was found in an abandoned house in Baltimore, left behind by her family to starve. She was found by a passerby who heard her cries and saved her life just in time.

But despite her rough journey, she still has one of the kindest hearts and is so sweet to everyone she meets.

Mileena has been named the “reigning queen of belly rub requests” and loves to gently rest her head on your lap.

She also loves to give kisses and lean in close to her people for affection. Kennel life has been tough on her, and all she wants is a forever home where she is loved unconditionally and knows she’s safe again.

Mileena would do best in a home with no other dogs and an active family who can take her for walks but also likes to settle down and snuggle with her on the couch.

If you think you could be the perfect family for Mileena or one of their other adoptable pets, visit LaManchaAnimalRescue.org.
