Madison, Wis.– Wisconsin Badgers huge receiver Markus Allen, whose been with this system for the previous two seasons, introduced his intentions to enter the switch portal on Sunday night.
Allen took to Twitter to announce his determination:
“First need to thank everybody within the Wisconsin Soccer program for the whole lot they’ve carried out up thus far. For serving to me academically and athletically type the energy workers all the best way right down to the trainers. Really love the bonds I’ve made with he nice individuals and the recollections with brothers. Thanks Coach Chryst & the Teaching Workers for giving me a chance on the College of Wisconsin. With that being mentioned I want to announce that I’ve formally entered the NCAA Switch Portal. With 3 years remaining of NCAA Eligibility.”
Per the 247Sports composite, Allen was the No. 380 total prospect within the 2021 recruiting class, the No. 61 WR within the nation, and the No. 10 participant in Ohio.
Allen, a former three-star prospect, appeared in eight video games for the Badgers, registering 10 catches for 156 yards and a landing.
With the 6-foot-1, 215-pound wideout leaving this system, he turns into the third participant to enter the switch portal since Paul Chryst was fired as head coach, becoming a member of Deacon Hill and Logan Brown, respectively.
Allen had fallen behind Chimere Dike, Skyler Bell, and Keontez Lewis on the depth chart, making a transparent path to enjoying time unsure transferring ahead.
The Ohio native has three years of eligibility remaining.
