SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The South Dakota Department of Corrections has confirmed that the Jameson Annex at the State Penitentiary is on lockdown.

The fight occurred on Monday, but the DOC said it was contained by staff.

The incident is under investigation and DCI has been notified of the fight.

According to DOC staff, there were no life-threatening injuries.

The Jameson Annex will remain on lockdown until the investigation is complete.
