Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings odds, picks and predictions
The Green Bay Packers (7-8) and Minnesota Vikings (7-8) meet Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Packers vs. Vikings odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.
Neither team has been putting together a playoff resume of late — due in part to injuries and in part to allowing too many back-breaking plays in key situations.
After losing on the road to the New York Giants and at home against Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Packers squeaked out a 33-30 win over the Panthers — the team with the worst record in the league.
For a team that had a schedule extremely favorable to keep winning, losing 2 of those 3 games was debilitating to their chances of making the playoffs.
Few teams have been as erratic as the Vikings. After starting 1-4, Minnesota won 5 straight, only to lose 4 of their last 5 games — 3 of those to non-playoff teams.
The problem has been at quarterback. The Vikings will be continuing the carousel of quarterbacks when rookie Jaren Hall gets the start. Hall was named the starter after Kirk Cousins went down, but suffered a concussion in the 1st quarter of his 1st start. His 2 replacements — Josh Dobbs and Nick Mullens — both played their way out of the starting job, so Plan D may actually be Plan B post-Cousins.

Packers at Vikings picks and predictions
Prediction
Packers 24, Vikings 20
Moneyline
TAKE PACKERS (-105).
You shouldn’t have to invest more than you win when your team is an underdog. The Vikings fans will be loud and make things difficult for QB Jordan Love, but things will be a lot quieter if Hall struggles like Dobbs and Mullens did.
Against the spread
TAKE PACKERS +1 (-110).
The Vikings have been victims of their own offensive ineptitude. Minnesota has committed 30 turnovers — an average of 2 every game. You don’t win in the NFL when you turn the ball over and give an opponent a short field or turn it over when in scoring position.
The Packers are going to throw formations at Hall that he hasn’t seen on film. He will likely be forced to run for his life, which may explain why he lasted just 1 quarter in his 1st start.
Over/Under
BET OVER 43 (-110).
In their last 2 games, the O/U numbers for the Vikings have been 51 and 54. The Packers have gone Over this number in their last 5 games, including 64 and 63 points in their last 2 — against the Bucs and Panthers.
One way or another — whether a monster game from WR Justin Jefferson or a defensive touchdown — this game will find a way to go Over. If 1 team gets up 10-0 early, it’s almost guaranteed because losing isn’t an option and leaving trick plays in practice doesn’t make sense. Fake punts are in play.

Minnesota Myth, arena football team, sends players home after 2 games
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) – When the Minnesota Myth took on the Philadelphia Soul at the Target Center just over a week ago, it was the Myth’s first game in front of a hometown crowd. But now it appears it was also its last.
FOX 9 obtained a letter to players from President and Owner Diana Hutton saying, “At this time, we believe it is prudent to allow you all to return home immediately.”
Hutton goes on to say, “I was working hard to obtain additional funding for the team. However, the timing to finalize the deal cannot be done within the next two days.”
The news comes just days after the Myth’s head coach, Rickey Foggie, reportedly resigned from the team, followed by special teams coordinator Javon Hering.

The team’s next game against the Albany Firebirds that was supposed to be played on Saturday at the Target Center was moved to Albany because of the Timberwolves-Nuggets playoff games.
But the Firebirds said the game scheduled for Monday had to be canceled because the Myth couldn’t make the trip.
Last week, the owners of the Iowa Rampage said they had no other option than to discontinue operations immediately. They blamed Diana’s husband, Arena Football League Commissioner and Minneapolis attorney Lee Hutton, for not fulfilling pre-season promises about uniforms and gear, player pay and network coverage.
But in a statement at the time, Lee said the claims made by the Iowa ownership were significantly flawed with knowingly false information.
FOX 9 reached out to the Minnesota Myth and the Huttons for comment, but did not hear back.

Minnesota Twins Put Together Best 20-Game Stretch in Last 16 Years of Team History
The Minnesota Twins beat the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon, 5-1, at Rogers Centre in Toronto.
With the win, the red-hot Twins are 24-16 and just 0.5 games back of first place in the American League Central. They’ve also put themselves in the franchise record books with this recent 20-game stretch.
Per Sarah Langs of MLB.com:
seasons with at least 1 20-game span with 17+ wins, Twins since move to MN:
2024
2008
2006
2003
2002
1991
1969
The last time the Twins put together a stretch like this was in July of 2008. Sunday’s win was punctuated by solid pitching from Bailey Ober, who went 6.1 innings and allowed just one hit while striking out 10. Offensively, veteran Carlos Santana hit his seventh home run of the season and Max Kepler stayed hot with his ninth double.
The Twins entered the season with question marks in their starting rotation after losing Sonny Gray in free agency and Anthony DeSclafani to injury, but they’ve held it together on the pitching front. They’ve also overcome early-season injuries to the trio of closer Jhoan Duran, shortstop Carlos Correa and power hitter Royce Lewis. Duran and Correa are now back and contributing, with Duran not having allowed a run yet this season.
The Twins will be off on Monday but they will try to remain hot on Tuesday as they host the New York Yankees at Target Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:40 p.m. ET as Carlos Rodon (NYY) pitches against Chris Paddack (MIN).
Paddack is 4-1 with a 4.34 ERA.
