Milwaukee man charged with murdering six in botched robbery
A Wisconsin man is going through six counts of felony homicide for allegedly killing six folks throughout a botched theft at a Milwaukee duplex in January.
Travis Lamar Birkley, 34, was arraigned on the costs Sunday and is being held on a $1 million bail.
The six victims had been discovered at a house in north Milwaukee on Jan. 23, although investigators consider that they had been killed three days earlier.
Police beforehand recognized the deceased as Charles Hardy, 42; Caleb Jordan, 23; Javoni Liddell, 31; Donta “Michael” Williams, 44; Michelle Williams, 49; and 43-year-old Donald Smith.
A confidential witness advised investigators that Birkley admitted to killing all six victims throughout a “theft gone unhealthy” along with his cousin, in accordance with a grievance obtained by Fox 6 Milwaukee.
Detectives discovered a “selfie” that Birkley allegedly took within the basement of the house on Jan. 20, hours after the murders came about, through which Birkley is carrying sun shades that belonged to one of many victims.
A witness additionally advised police that they noticed Birkley with money, weapons, and medicines after the murders that belonged to a sufferer, in accordance with the grievance.
The Milwaukee Police Division mentioned days after the murders that 4 individuals of curiosity had been in custody, although they had been later launched.
Nobody else has been charged in relation to the murders. The Milwaukee Police Division didn’t reply to a request for remark about every other potential suspects within the case on Monday.

MILWAUKEE – A 25-year-old was stabbed in Milwaukee on Wednesday, Dec. 25.
The Milwaukee Police Department said it happened at approximately 1:15 p.m. near 36th and Sarnow. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.
The suspect, a 30-year-old man, stabbed the victim during a fight. Police said the incident was domestic violence related.

The suspect was arrested.
Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
