The Jacksonville Jaguars are back on the road for Week 14 with a game against the Browns in Cleveland. Sunday’s game is the second of three straight games against an opponent from the AFC North. The Jaguars own a 7-2 record against the Browns on the road and last played them in Cleveland in 2017, a 19-7 win. Jacksonville’s defense forced four turnovers in the game and allowed zero points in the second half.
This week, Head Coach Doug Pederson spoke about the teams’ next man up mentality. “It’s something that I preach quite a bit to the guys here. Especially as you get later in the season, the guys that are in backup roles or guys that are maybe those core-special teams players that now get opportunities to play on offense or defense. It’s their time to go, it’s their time to play. It’s always been a next-man-up mentality, regardless of the position.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – Activists will be lining the bike lanes in Ohio City to show support for separated bike lanes in Cleveland.
In a release from Bike Cleveland, the organization says the City of Cleveland installed plastic bollards on a section of the Detroit Avenue bike lane in Ohio City to enhance street safety.
In an attempt to call attention to the work and push for more action, Bike Cleveland and supporters are gathering at West 33rd Street and Detroit Avenue to line the bike lanes in the area.
“By lining the bike lane with supporters, we aim to show our appreciation for the recent improvements while emphasizing the urgent need for more separated bike lanes across Cleveland,” the organization wrote in their release.
The press release states that 46 people have been killed in crashes in Cleveland this year, a more than 40 percent increase from this time in 2023.

On Tuesday night, the Cleveland Guardians earned their 71st win of the season by squeaking by the Chicago Cubs, 2-1. The two sides were tied at one apiece entering the sixth inning when Guardians slugger Jhonkensy Noel absolutely mashed a 430-foot homer that would prove to be the winning run for Cleveland.
What came after the home run, though, was shocking. The Guardians’ broadcast team of Matt Underwood and Rick Manning gave Noel the appropriate praise as he rounded the bases. Then, upon replay, Manning dished out a tasteless line about how the pitcher, Drew Smyly, should feel about giving up the lead on a hit like that.
“Oh, Smyly. He wants to kill himself. He hung him a breaking ball and boy, Noel took advantage of it.”

One of those things you just should not say on a broadcast.
Manning played for Cleveland from 1975-1983 during his MLB career. He joined the broadcast booth for the team in 1990 and has remained as a color analyst ever since. It remains to be seen if there will be consequences for his insensitive comments last night.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a motorcycle crash that left a 54-year-old man dead in Lorain County.
The crash happened at 6 p.m. on U.S. Route 20 at State Route 58.
According to troopers, a 64-year-old man was driving a 2020 Ram 1500 when he attempted to turn southbound on State Route 58 and struck the 2017 Yamaha VMX17 motorcycle.
The man riding the motorcycle, 54-year-old Charles Ford, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pick-up truck was transported to Oberlin Mercy Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
