JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Residents across Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia are ready to celebrate Independence Day with food, fun, fanfare — and, of course, fireworks.

We’ve got a list of where you can find a fireworks display near you Tuesday night.

As we do every year, News4JAX will televise and stream Jacksonville’s fireworks spectacular as well as others around Northeast Florida.

Jacksonville

Fireworks will be launched at 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday for Jacksonville’s Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration from the following locations:

• Downtown Jacksonville

• Highlands – Ray Greene Park (the park will be closed for the launch)

• The Avenues Mall

• Trinity Baptist Church

• Ed Austin Regional Park

Fireworks can be viewed from the North and South banks along the St. Johns River in Downtown Jacksonville, and from surrounding areas at the additional launch locations.

Jacksonville Beach

Jacksonville Beach’s free fireworks display lights up the coastline starting at 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Jacksonville Beach Fishing Pier at 503 North 1st St.

St. Augustine

This classic event traditionally draws thousands of locals and visitors to the Castillo de San Marcos and all along the bayfront and the Bridge of Lions every year.

Concert: The “Fireworks Over the Matanzas” festivities start at 6 p.m. with the popular local band, The All-Star Orchestra, performing a two-hour show of big band and swing music along with patriotic favorites. The free concert takes place at the gazebo in the Plaza de la Constitucion located in the center of the Historic District. Bring a chair if you’d like to relax and have a seat.

Just a reminder: Alcohol is prohibited on public property, including parks, streets and sidewalks. It is also illegal to possess fireworks that explode or leave the ground.

Fireworks: Then, get ready to be dazzled by 5,000 individual shells exploding as high as 2,000 feet and as low as 100 feet. The breathtaking display, one of the biggest and best on the East Coast, starts at 9:30 p.m. You can see it all from the Bayfront, the Bridge of Lions and Vilano Beach.

Orange Park

Make plans to attend the American Pride 4th of July festivities brought to you by Moosehaven and the Town of Orange Park! The event will be held starting at 5 p.m. Tuesday and features live music, food truck vendors and a spectacular fireworks display over the St. Johns River at dusk.

Green Cove Springs

The annual Food Trucks & Fireworks event at Russell Baptist Church kicks off at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, so bring some chairs or blankets and a few bucks for the delicious local food trucks! Fireworks launch around 9 p.m. or dark. The church is at 2299 Sandridge Road, Green Cove Springs.

Keystone Heights

Keystone Heights features fun for the whole family at its 55th Annual Our Country Day Independence Day Celebration!

Our Country Day Event Lineup

8 a.m.: Keystone Heights Freedom 5K

Walk or jog through the winding streets and neighborhoods of downtown Keystone Heights starting at 8 a.m. for the annual Freedom 5K. This event helps raise funds for scholarships for Keystone Heights High School seniors through the Jordan Cooper Memorial Scholarship Fund.

11 a.m.: Our Country Day Parade (presented by Lake Region Kiwanis)

One of the most popular annual festivities, you’ll want to be along the Lawrence Blvd. parade route an hour early to snag the best seats in town. The annual parade is proudly the largest in Clay County, and among the biggest in the region, featuring a variety of patriotic floats, hometown organizations, and military vehicles.

9 a.m.-4 p.m.: Vendors, Food Trucks, and Events at City Hall

Before and following the parade, the city hosts multiple events on the grounds at and around City Hall. Below are the events, times, and additional details.

• 9 a.m.: Food Trucks and Vendors open (located north and south of City Hall)
  20+ local vendors
  Food Trucks include: Blue Line Q, Classic Twist, Kona Ice, Flavaz on the Move, and Destiny Fish

• 12:15 p.m.: Johnny’s BBQ Hot Dog Eating Contest (located at Rotary Circle east of City Hall)
  Up to 15 competitors
  To sign up for this free event, come to our table at the Rotary Circle immediately following the parade
  All participants receive a Johnny’s BBQ T-Shirt
  1st Place receives a $50 Johnny’s Gift Card and their name on the Johnny’s Hot Dog Eating Contest Wall of Fame

• 12:30-3:30 p.m.: Dunk Tank presented by Melissa Pellerito (located south of City Hall)
  Dunk a deputy, a city council member, and a local to help raise money for our annual fireworks celebration!
  $1 per throw

• 12-4 p.m.: Classic Car Show presented by Hoodz of Gainesville (located across the street from City Hall at natural park)
  Winning vehicle receives $100, Second place receives $50, Third place receives $25

• 5-10 p.m.: Concert & Fireworks at Keystone Beach — Live music begins at 5 p.m. down at Keystone Beach featuring the “Dewey Via Band,” a Southern Rock crowd favorite at this year’s Clay Day celebration in Tallahassee.

If attending with children, the city strongly recommends arriving by 8 p.m. to guarantee a spot. Fireworks at Keystone Beach Park start at 9:30 p.m., weather and burn ban permitting. Fireworks will be accompanied by patriotic music. The event will also have Food Trucks in the Keystone Beach parking lot, including Blue Line Q, BJ’s Weiners and Pepperoni Balls, and more.

Entry into the park will require each spectator to have an armband. They will cost $1 and can be bought at City Hall prior to the 4th of July or $2 at the gate.

Fernandina Beach

Prepare for patriotism at the annual Hometown 4th of July celebration in Fernandina Beach. This family-friendly event begins at 6 p.m. Come and enjoy music, browse the vendors, and be wowed by the spectacular fireworks display that commences promptly at 9 p.m. on Centre Street in Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach.

Palatka

The Riverfront Park festivities include food trucks, kid zone, music and more. The free event begins at 4 p.m. at Riverfront Park at 102 N 1st St. in Palatka.

Fireworks will set off at approximately 9 p.m.

Flagler County

Flagler County Government, the Cities of Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, and Bunnell, and the Towns of Beverly Beach and Marineland, invite all Flagler County residents and visitors to attend the United Flagler 4th Community Celebration on Tuesday.

Kicking off the day-long festivities is the beloved Stars and Stripes parade, presented by the Rotary Club of Flagler Beach. The parade will start promptly at 10 a.m. and follow its customary route from North 6th Street to South 6th Street along A1A in Flagler Beach.

Following the parade, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., both residents and visitors can bask in the scenic beauty of the beach while enjoying the music and entertainment provided by DJ Vern from SURF 97.3 FM at Veterans Park in Flagler Beach. There will be events running all day long, including a dunk tank, contests, bounce houses, line dancing, and performances by the U.S. Navy band from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Satisfy your taste buds by supporting local businesses and dining at one of the numerous restaurants countywide, and “Be Local Buy Local!”

The main event will be the spectacular Fireworks Over the Runways, taking place at the Flagler Executive Airport located at 201 Airport Road in Palm Coast. The entire community is invited to attend, with gates opening at 5 p.m. The breathtaking fireworks display will begin at 9 p.m.

Glen St. Mary

The Souls Harbor Church is hosting a 10-year anniversary Freedom Celebration from 8-10 p.m. with live music, free prizes, free food and drinks, games and a “fireworks supershow.”

The church is at 7955 US-90, Glen St. Mary, Florida.

Starke

The “biggest July 4th event in North Florida kicks off with a charity Guns N Hoses softball game at 9 a.m., followed by a huge parade down US 301, starting at 11 a.m.

Then there’s the Starke Splash Bash with games, food trucks, live music and more and David Hurse Stadium will be converted into the biggest temporary water park in the region!

And, of course, there will be fireworks!

Brunswick

Bring out the whole family for some old-fashioned fun with a modern twist at Mary Ross Waterfront Park, starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Free watermelon thanks to Winn-Dixie of Lanier Plaza that will be handed out by volunteers from First Baptist Church of Brunswick as well as some delicious local food vendors. Live music and of course the fireworks display that begins at dark.

Jekyll Island

Join your friends and family for a July 4th celebration on Jekyll Island. Whether spending the day at the beach, by the pool, or at Summer Waves Water Park, there is always a way to stay cool and enjoy July 4th on Jekyll Island. Fireworks will take place on the evening of July 4th. After sunset, at 8:45 p.m. (depending on lighting and weather conditions) witness the most spectacular fireworks in the Golden Isles. Arrive early to get your spot in the sand. Fireworks are best viewed from Great Dunes Beach Park and Oceanview Beach Park.

Jekyll Island’s fireworks will begin at 8:45 p.m. on July 4th. Please be aware the Jekyll Island parking fee will be increased by $4 to all daily and weekly passes on July 4th only. Learn more about this year’s fireworks.

St. Simons Island

Enjoy an incredible fireworks show in the heart of the beloved St. Simons Island Pier Village on the 4th of July. Celebrate Independence Day along the St. Simons Sound with friends and family. Bring your own chairs, blankets, picnics and more to enjoy the evening. The St. Simons Island Pier is on Mallery Street. The celebration runs all day from 9 a.m.-9:30 p.m.

St. Marys

The Independence Day Festival in St. Marys kicks off the day at 7 a.m. with 5K and 10K runs. Starting at 9 a.m., arts and crafts booths will begin setting up and will be open until 5 p.m. at the St. Marys Waterfront Park,100 St. Marys St., St. Marys, Georgia.

There will also be a parade beginning at 10 a.m.! Last but certainly not least, the fireworks show begins at dark.

This is the must-see, family-friendly event of the summer.
