Even More Good News About ‘Ginny And Georgia’ Season 3

Within the midst of an in any other case very unusual interview by Bloomberg with new Netflix co-CEOs Ted Sarandos and Greg Peters, through which Sarandos declared that they had “by no means cancelled a profitable present,” there was a little bit of optimistic information made about one collection specifically, Ginny and Georgia.

No, once more, Netflix has nonetheless not formally renewed Ginny and Georgia for season 3, which simply spent two weeks at #1 on Netflix, and has solely not too long ago dipped to #2 behind That ‘90s Present. Nevertheless, unprompted, Sarandos introduced up Ginny and Georgia as large success story for Netflix, albeit one primarily within the US. This was his response to a query about worldwide programming:

“India has an unimaginable film tradition. Look how lengthy it is taken for us to be speaking about Indian motion pictures in America. Or Korean tv in America. 60% of our members final yr have watched Korean content material. So, it is all rising.

Typically that is additionally content material that is uniquely attention-grabbing to Individuals that does not journey internationally. We’ve got the present Ginny and Georgia proper now. That is an exceptional US success.”

So, let me be clear that along with the efficiency proof that was already mounting for Ginny and Georgia to be renewed for season 3, the brand new co-CEO of Netflix citing your collection as a “phenomenal success” is about as a lot of a verbal dedication as you get on this business. Once more, Netflix typically takes a bit little bit of time to announce renewals for even clearly profitable exhibits, and that seems to be what’s taking place right here.

Elsewhere within the interview Sarandos talks about how low seen exhibits want small budgets to outlive on Netflix and large finances exhibits want large viewership in consequence. However you understand there may be nothing Netflix likes higher than a small-budgeted present, like say, one about a wonderful small-town legal and her daughter, that can also be doing large viewership. That seems to be what’s occurring right here, and why Ginny and Georgia has a golden ticket, whilst related female-focused collection have met their finish on Netflix time after time.

No, I don’t fairly get why a present like Ginny and Georgia will get to stay indefinitely when a near similar present like Teenage Bounty Hunters needed to die, however that’s the magic of Netflix metric voodoo for you. However it’s changing into simpler to guess which exhibits are going to be renewed on Netflix and that are prone to be canceled. Some exist proper on the road, just like the very costly Sandman collection that did good viewership, however not loopy viewership, and was very almost cancelled due to it.

However sure, Ginny and Georgia season 3 is occurring, it’s only a matter of time till it’s official.

Jontavius Wyman Commits to Georgia

Jontavius Wyman, a 2026 defensive back, has announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Georgia Bulldogs have been reeling in commitments on the trail and players are starting to stack up for the 2025 recruiting class. However, it’s never too early to start getting the next year’s class into shape and the Bulldogs just added a player to their 2026 recruiting class. Defensive back Jontavius Wyman has announced his commitment to Georgia.

Wyman out of Jonesboro High School in the state of Georgia is rated as the 154th-best player in the country, 12th-best defensive back and the 19th-best player in the state of Georgia for the 2026 class, according to 247 sports composite rankings. Wyman received an offer from Georgia earlier this year along with a long list of other power four programs. He now joins quarterback Jared Curtis as the only two commitments in the class.

Curtis committed to Georgia back in March of this year. He is rated as a five-star prospect, the eighth-best player in the country and the top-rated quarterback for the 2026 recruiting class. The Bulldogs still have a long way to go before the 2026 recruiting class is official, but they are off to a strong start with the early additions of Wyman and Curtis.

Thomas’ arrest marks the latest in a string of legal issues involving various members of the powerhouse college football team over the past several months.

“I don’t necessarily think it’s right to go down to the town square and publicly shame kids,” Smart said at SEC media days earlier this month. “When that happens, they go through a lot. And there’s a lot of remorse from these young men who’ve made mistakes. But our job is to educate. Continue to grow these young men.”

A team official confirmed the suspension of Thomas.
