Rasheed Wallace Remembers One Game He Played for Atlanta Hawks

Rasheed Wallace constructed a repute for being one of many hardest gamers within the NBA for 16 seasons. Because of his mixture of measurement and finesse, the 4x NBA All-Star held his personal throughout an period of fantastic energy forwards.

Wallace performed for six groups throughout his exceptional profession however is especially remembered for his enjoying days with the Portland Path Blazers, Detroit Pistons, and Boston Celtics. Now, at 48 years outdated, Wallace can chortle about his brief stint with the Atlanta Hawks.

On February 9, 2004, the Path Blazers traded Wallace and three different gamers to the Hawks. Wallace performed only one sport for the Hawks, scoring 20 factors via three quarters in a dropping effort to the New Jersey Nets.

Regardless of his stellar efficiency, Wallace was dealt to the Pistons as a part of a three-team commerce. In a current interview on the All The Smoke podcast, Wallace laughed with cohosts Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes about his time with the Hawks.

There are undoubtedly worse methods to seek out out you have been traded than hanging along with your teammate on the bar inside a Cheesecake Manufacturing unit. In fact, the Pistons would go on to win the 2004 NBA Championship. In the meantime, the Hawks launched into a rebuild that lasted till the 2008-09 season.

As a fan, Wallace was a thorn in my aspect for a few years. However there is no such thing as a denying his greatness and longevity. Wallace scored 16,006 factors, grabbed 7,404 rebounds, and undoubtedly deserves to be within the Basketball of Fame. Simply not in a Hawks jersey.
