ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A man was shot in a northwest Atlanta neighborhood Wednesday evening, police said.

Officers responded to a person shot at 142 Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard NW around 5 p.m., according to the Atlanta Police Department.

When they arrived, officers reportedly found a 30-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his abdomen and one of his hands.

Police said the man was alert, conscious and breathing, and was taken to the hospital.

They said the man had apparently gotten into an argument with several other men at the location, which escalated to gunfire.

Police said the suspects left the scene immediately after the shooting.

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – An all-clear was given following an investigation into a reported bomb threat in downtown Atlanta, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

The threat was reported at 230 Peachtree Street NW, which witnesses tell us is a U.S. passport office. The all-clear was given shortly before noon. Officials said no explosives were found and people could reenter the building.

The bomb threat was near 235 Peachtree Street where four people were shot on Tuesday.

Atlanta police said they assisted the Federal Protective Service in the investigation.
