The operator of the pontoon boat began CPR on Mead, State Police said, then fire rescue units arrived and continued resuscitation efforts. An ambulance transported Mead to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to State Police. Anyone with information concerning the incident should contact Marine Patrol Sgt. Joshua Dirth at (603) 227-2115 or [email protected].
