South Shore Park Mandarin duck photographer robbed
ST. FRANCIS, Wis. – A photographer from Appleton got here to the Milwaukee space Wednesday, Jan. 11 to snap photographs of a uncommon Mandarin duck that has been noticed at South Shore Park, and the expertise turned out to be memorable for all of the incorrect causes. He demanded Balken’s tools. When Balken refused to surrender, his phrases turned menacing.
“He threatened me at that time by saying, ‘Is your life price that tools?’” stated Balken. “I turned and stated, ‘Is your life price it?’”
The person reached into Balken’s truck however was solely in a position to pull out a bean bag. Balken walked towards him, and the person took off.
“That’s after I simply froze,” stated Balken. “I don’t know if it was the adrenaline.”

St. Francis police are looking for the person who threatened Balken and tried to steal from him. Balken believes he was focused and adopted from South Shore Park.

Critically missing Milwaukee woman; Silver Alert issued
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a critically missing 71-year-old woman.
Police said Orelia Rose McDowell was last seen near 38th and Nash on foot at approximately 5:30 p.m.

McDowell is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall, around 157 pounds and with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a tan jacket, pink shirt, pink pants and pink Puma tennis shoes.
A Silver Alert was also issued.

At least two apartments damaged in fire on Glenbrook Road near Northridge Mall
A least two apartments were damaged in a fire on Glenbrook Road near Northridge Mall in Milwaukee.
Firefighters are still working to determine a cause, but say no one was injured other than a firefighter who cut his hand.
Investigators are still determining the extent of the damage to the apartment building. They’ve told TMJ4’s Mikenzie Hammel that the fire appears to have started in a second-story unit and that the flames damaged the apartment directly above it.
Residents in the building tell Mikenzie the entire hallway was filled with smoke.
Mikenzie is on the scene working to learn more about how many people may be displaced this Thanksgiving Day. This story will be updated on air and online.

Milwaukee flag football shooting death; open records provide new details
MILWAUKEE – A Milwaukee man was charged in connection to a fatal shooting at a youth flag football game, but new details have emerged regarding the incident.
That shooting happened in mid-October at Milwaukee Public Schools’ South Stadium.
47-year-old Raysean Barnes died.

Through open records FOX6 News obtained, there are new details about the case. It explains how surveillance and cell phone records led to charges.
Investigators say he was at the game to watch a loved one play when he got from the stands and headed to the parking lot to get a child a drink of water. As he walked from the bleachers, he got caught in the middle of a fight.
Prosecutors say 30-year-old Gavino Avalos-Morales pulled out a gun, pointed it at Barnes and shot him in the chest. He died at the hospital.
Investigators learned through interviews the accused gunman was never supposed to be at the game.

An acquaintance said Gavino-Avalos gave him a ride and followed him inside with another man. Minutes later, an argument began and shots were fired.
Surveillance video showed the suspect running away, but more importantly, arriving in a white Mazda CX-9.
Police were able to track the vehicle back to the accused shooter. They arrested the 30-year-old four days later.
When he was taken into custody, police searched his cellphone and discovered he was contacted by criminal defense attorneys in the days after the shooting. He also texted a loved one that his life was over.
Avalos-Morales has been charged with multiple felonies, including first-degree reckless homicide and discharging a firearm in a school zone.
He’s due back in court next month.
