INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Community Alliance of the Far Eastside, also known as CAFE, on Monday night opened its new education and training center.

The ceremony included a ribbon-cutting, and the debut of a mural created by a local artist.

Leaders say the center will host afterschool programs, adult learning classes, and other training resources for residents of the city’s far eastside.

Kendra Nowell, chief executive officer of the nonprofit community alliance, said, “It’s important to be able to offer resources, workshops, training, any type of education services right in the community centered to where our residents are. Removing barriers from transportation or any other resources that might not be able to go outside of the community.”

The center will be home to the alliance’s afterschool program.

The center is at 8902 E. 38th St.

The same day the WWE announced a huge partnership to bring Wrestlemania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble to Indianapolis, Monday Night Raw will be live in the city for the June 24 episode at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Monday Night Raw is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. EDT with TV coverage on USA Network and streaming on-demand.

The WWE teased the Kaiser vs. Breakker match asking if Kaiser would “gain a measure of payback” after the two tussled on the June 17 edition of Raw. A Women’s Tag Team championship match between champs Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre and contenders Katana Chance and Kayden Carter is also a draw for tonight’s show.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The crowds were large and raucous. The biggest stars largely lived up to their billing. And plenty of promising young swimmers emerged over nine days in Indiana. The U.S. Olympic swimming trials wrapped up with the final two events at Lucas Oil Stadium, rounding out the roster for the Paris Games. Katie Ledecky, Caeleb Dressel and Simone Manuel are among those who will be going for gold in Paris, joined by potential new standouts such as Kate Douglass and Thomas Heilman. Setting up a temporary pool inside the home of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts took the event to a whole new level. Nearly 300,000 fans turned out. The set-up drew rave reviews from the athletes.
