Pratik Gandhi‘s ‘Srikant’ (aka Sri) is an annoying a**gap who has taken his 4-year-relationship with Sharmin Segal’s ‘Netra’ with no consideration & roams round like he’s Ricky Gervais’ Tony from After Life. Sri is a standup comic, and Netra is an air hostess (solely and solely to help one joke) & they each can neither fly away from one another nor giggle all out.

After combating for some non-existent (similar to the story of this movie) points, Sri decides to drink further ending up seeing a ghost who introduces himself as his grandson Makhan Singh (Jackie Shroff). Yep, Sri meets his grandson from the earlier life as a ghost who desires to reunite together with his outdated love Manju & with this desires to show his grandad how pure love is.

Atithi Bhooto Bhava Film Overview: Script Evaluation

In case you’ve two characters: one is younger & dumb, one other is outdated & smart, you utilize your aged character to relate his love story from the previous to make the lad realise what’s lacking in life with out love, you may create one of the vital beloved rom-coms of our period with Love Aaj Kal. However, in the event you’re somebody who takes the above equation, and makes the outdated man not solely a ghost but additionally the younger man’s grandson from earlier his life to make the lad perceive the identical factor, then my pal, you need to cease your chain of thought proper there and cross-check in the event you’re pondering straight.

However, that didn’t occur and right here we’re getting such a narrative from Shreyes Anil Lowlekar, Pradeep Srivastava and Aniket Wakchaure which lacks ‘Love, Aaj & Kal’. The story doesn’t get absurd by each minute, it will get all bizarre directly & then it carries on to be the identical until the final minute with none revival. Madhu Vannier’s camerawork follows each fundamental trick within the e-book to maintain issues easy, which isn’t a nasty factor in any respect amid all of the chaos that’s occurring within the story & execution division.

Atithi Bhooto Bhava Film Overview: Star Efficiency

Again in 2020, Pratik Gandhi caught everybody’s consideration by doing the most important rip-off of his life (Rip-off 1992) & lower to 2022, he’s on the receiving finish of what ought to be referred to as as the most important cinematic rip-off in terms of stealing leisure. That is precisely what occurs with proficient actors like him, within the begin, once they determine to make their presence felt within the business with out actually being a lot there (by way of high quality content material). This could have been a no-go for somebody pretty much as good as him from the scripting stage itself. He nonetheless selected to do it, tried & failed.

It’s all the time good to see Jackie Shroff doing films & being a livewire on the age of 65, however initiatives like this don’t match within the blueprint of how would he actually wish to deal with his second innings to be. Rishi Kapoor did that brilliantly & I really feel Jackie dada ought to observe the identical following movies which might solely carry out the perfect in him.

Put up Malaal, I had nice hopes from Sharmin Segal however this movie doesn’t even come near what she may do. Her debut teased her calibre, wished her to exponentially blow it up in her second movie however neah, this ain’t that. Divinaa Thackur lends her hand which ain’t actually useful within the supporting solid. Blame it on the script as a result of all of the above actors may do very nicely when positioned in movie.

Atithi Bhooto Bhava Film Overview: Course, Music

The story began with its lead Sri flaunting his ‘MCP’ traits & then the director Hardik Gajjar tried to provide the movie a Seinfeld-like vibe with its central character being a comic who does stand-up items about his life & I used to be completely up with the thought till I realised there’s ‘Bhooto’ (from the title) but to be launched. Hardik’s route isn’t actually a lot of an issue in comparison with the mess made by the story division. Along with his abilities, Hardik can supervise movie however not with this sort of script.

Songs are s*it, background rating leaves no affect.

Atithi Bhooto Bhava Film Overview: The Final Phrase

All stated and carried out, the makers thought this might be a enjoyable experimental horredy, nevertheless it’s neither enjoyable nor experimenting with something horror or comedy. A lame & easy-to-avoid try!

One and a half stars!

All the Long Nights: meditative return by Small, Slow But Steady director

3/5 stars

The fate of the universe does not always need to hang in the balance to create compelling drama. Sometimes, something as simple as garnering a better understanding of a colleague can prove sufficient, as is the case in Sho Miyake’s new drama.

Adapted from Maiko Seo’s novel of the same name, All the Long Nights follows two young people whose prospects in the adult world have been cut short by disorders that affect their everyday experience.

Misa (Mone Kamishiraishi) suffers from extreme premenstrual syndrome, which triggers mood swings so violent that she was forced to quit her previous office job.

Meanwhile, Takatoshi (Hokuto Matsumura) is hobbled by debilitating panic attacks, which have had a similarly negative impact on his professional aspirations.

These two lonely souls meet when Misa moves back home to be close to her ailing mother (Ryo), and gets an administrative job at a small company that distributes science equipment for children.

Initially, Misa and Takatoshi have little in common, their eccentricities and peccadillos even causing a degree of tension and irritation between them.

But when Misa discovers that Takatoshi takes the same herbal medication as she does, it sparks a growing understanding and empathy between the two of them, which only grows when they team up to collaborate on a planetarium project.

Miyake’s film conjures an affectionate portrayal of sleepy suburbia, exemplified by the low-stakes challenges of small-business office culture that unfolds at a gentle, unhurried pace, as one has come to expect from Japanese dramas of this ilk.

Where this film differs from many of its contemporaries, however, is in the absence of such archetypal clichés as romance or illness. Misa and Takatoshi’s relationship remains defiantly platonic throughout, with neither party ever threatening to overstep their boundaries or behave inappropriately.

Instead of a story about finding a kindred spirit with whom to explore the boundless expanse of the universe, All the Long Nights is a tale of curiosity and understanding.

Both characters strive to learn more about their colleague’s physiological disorder to better inform themselves, but also so that they might become a more valuable and empathetic friend to the other.

A still from All the Long Nights.

The performances are understated but also effective, unburdened by the need to resort to histrionics to advance the narrative.

Undeniably, Misa and Takatoshi come to depend upon one another as a crutch for coming to terms with their own issues, but Miyake’s proposal that this connection need go no further is as honest and refreshing as they come.
