Facing the worst team in the league for the 2nd time in 3 games, the San Antonio Spurs came into this one looking for their 10th road win this year and their first 6 game winstreak since March of 2019. A sluggish start to the game saw them trailing after the 1st quarter, but an 18-4 run to start the 2nd put the game firmly in San Antonio’s hand, eventually outscoring Washington 43-21 in the period and securing a 20 point lead going into halftime. Washington was able to hang around all throughout the 3rd quarter though and even managed to cut the deficit to single digits a few times in the 4th, but solid defense and a dominant performance from Luke Kornet throughout the period saved the day for San Antonio. Seven players finished in double figures, while three also had double-doubles in the win. Washington meanwhile had five players finish in double figures, led by Bub Carrington’s 21 points.

The Spurs (21-7) are back in action Tuesday night in San Antonio at 7:30 CT for the first of two rematches this week with the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder.

WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) — Wyoming police officers were seen taking a man into custody after an hours-long standoff Sunday night.

Police swarmed Thorndyke Avenue near 44th Street SW in Wyoming for several hours after a man barricaded himself inside a home. A News 8 crew watched officers remove a man from the barricaded home in handcuffs around 11:35 p.m. Sunday.

A neighbor who lives on Thorndyke Avenue told News 8 that the incident began when a man who lives on the street left his house to confront a group of men who were working on the roof of a nearby property. The neighbor heard a single gunshot before the man retreated into his home.

Thorndyke Avenue was blocked off for hours with those living on the street unable to get to their houses. Those already inside were asked to remain inside.

Republican Cynthia Lummis will not be seeking re-election for her U.S. Senate seat in 2026, saying it’s been “an incredible honor to represent Wyoming” in a statement shared on X.

“It’s an incredible honor to represent Wyoming in the U.S. Senate, and throughout my time here, Wyoming has been my one-and-only priority,” Lummis posted to X. “Deciding not to run for reelection does represent a change of heart for me, but in the difficult, exhausting session weeks this fall I’ve come to accept that I do not have six more years left in me.

“I am a devout legislator, but I feel like a sprinter in a marathon,” the senator wrote. “The energy required doesn’t match up.”

The announcement comes as many legislators have announced resignations ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, which many political commentators have noted may be a referendum on President Donald Trump’s second administration.

Lummis has been a champion for cryptocurrency legislation in the Senate, penning the GENIUS Act. The Wyoming Republican has also been an advocate for American energy during her tenure, including coal, oil and gas.

Sworn in Jan. 3, 2021, Lummis is the first woman to serve as a senator for the Equality State.

“I am honored to have earned the support of President Trump and to have the opportunity to work side by side with him to fight for the people of Wyoming,” Lummis concluded. “Thank you, Wyoming!”

Lummis’ office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
