Quessenberry’s New Team Includes Old Teammates
The Buffalo Payments have change into the popular vacation spot for former Tennessee Titans offensive linemen.
Thursday, deal with David Quessenberry turned the third in a matter of weeks to finish up with the Payments when he agreed to a one-year contract. The 31-year-old turned an unrestricted free agent this offseason when the Titans declined to supply him the restricted free agent tender, which might have allowed them to retain his rights.
Quessenberry follows left guard Rodger Saffold, who signed with Buffalo greater than a month in the past, and deal with Bobby Hart, who spent a part of final season with Tennessee and began one recreation (Los Angeles Rams). Hart, who completed final season with the Payments, agreed to a brand new cope with them earlier this month.
“We have had some good matchups in years previous between Tennessee and Buffalo and I’ve all the time revered the best way the blokes play,” Quessenberry informed the Buffalo media. “I wish to be part of that, wish to be part of that tradition. Simply strolling round right here at the moment, being part of it, feeling the vitality within the constructing, it fires me up understanding that I made the proper resolution to come back up right here.”

Tennessee and Buffalo have met in every of the final 4 seasons. They cut up these contests, and three of the 4 have been determined by seven factors or fewer.
Quessenberry’s profession was almost derailed earlier than it began by Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (he was on Houston’s reserve/non-football sickness checklist from 2014-16). He joined the Titans in 2018 as a member of the follow squad, made his first NFL begin in 2020 and was a full-time starter at proper deal with final season.
In all, he has performed 35 NFL video games and has began 23 of them.
“Principally, I simply thought (Buffalo) was the proper match, based mostly on the whole lot I’ve seen and discovered and researched and talked to guys about,” Quessenberry mentioned. “… (Saffold) was positively any individual I leaned on, and I’d like to play some extra soccer with Rodger.”
Along with the offensive linemen, the Payments added free agent defensive lineman DaQuan Jones, who performed for the Titans from 2014-20, earlier this offseason.

AFC South Coach Makes Bold Titans QB Prediction
The clock may be ticking for Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis, and one AFC South coach seems to think his time may be running thin.
Titans head coach Brian Callahan has maintained that Levis will keep the job, but another coach win the division disagrees.
“It’s only a matter of time before Mason Rudolph takes over,” the coach said, via Dianna Russini of The Athletic.
Tennessee signed Rudolph in free agency for this exact reason. Rudolph has plenty of starting experience from his Pittsburgh Steelers days, and while he did not necessarily light it up during his six-year tenure with the club, he was still a solid backup.
Last season, Rudolph stepped in for an injured Kenny Pickett and even led the Steelers to the playoffs, throwing for 719 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions while completing 74.3 percent of his passes in four appearances and three starts.
The Titans selected Levis in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Levis ultimately supplanted Ryan Tannehill under center midway through his rookie campaign and hit the ground running, throwing four touchdown passes in his first start.
However, Levis then amassed a grand total of three touchdown tosses over his final eight starts last season. He hasn’t been much better in 2024, registering 604 yards, four touchdowns and a league-worst six picks through four games.
It should be noted that Levis suffered an AC joint sprain in his shoulder and left the game after throwing just four passes against the Miami Dolphins last week.
Tennessee spent considerable money during the offseason to try and compete in the AFC South, but the Titans have gotten off to a 1-3 start heading into their Week 5 bye.
Levis’ subpar play is a major reason for Tennessee’s struggles.

Analyst Blasts Titans With Brutal Take
Things look hopeless for the Tennessee Titans early in the 2024 NFL season.
The Titans did beat the Miami Dolphins for their first win of the year this past Monday, but the Dolphins were missing Tua Tagovailoa and are one of the only teams that looks more hapless than Tennessee right now.
Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon lit into the Titans, essentially saying that there isn’t much to be excited about in Tennessee the rest of the way.
“It will become increasingly difficult to comment on this going-nowhere team and its collection of mediocre quarterbacks surrounded by a plethora of players that are either beyond their primes or never hit ’em,” Gagnon wrote.
Yeesh, that’s bad.
The Titans actually appeared to be a sleeper team heading into the season as a result of a rather decent-looking roster on paper. But the game isn’t played on paper.
Plus, Tennessee’s success in 2024 largely hinged on the performance of quarterback Will Levis, who has looked awful through the first several weeks and ended up getting injured after just four passes versus Miami. Mason Rudolph then led the Titans to victory.
Tennessee has a bye in Week 5, but Levis—who is dealing with an AC joint sprain—may be ready to go against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6.
The question is, would the Titans be better off with Rudolph under center?
Even if they would, Rudolph doesn’t exactly inspire a ton of confidence, which makes you wonder if Tennessee was better off losing out for the remainder of the season and then drafting a quarterback.
The Titans could very well end up selling off some pieces between now and the Nov. 5 NFL trade deadline. What they do during that period of time will tell us a lot about the direction of the team going forward.
