Adams County man facing attempted murder charge in Maryland road rage incident


THURMONT, Md. — An Adams County man is facing attempted homicide and firearms charges in Maryland after police here say he fired shots at another car during a road rage incident.

Bryant Paradine, 37, of Littlestown, is facing attempted murder, the use of a gun in the commission of a felony, and related charges.

According to Maryland State Police, the incident happened around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning on U.S. 15 at Tippin Drive near Thurmont, about 10 miles south of the Pennsylvania state line.

Troopers said a vehicle had been struck, but the victim was not injured.

The vehicle that shots had reportedly been fired from was found unoccupied at a business elsewhere in Thurmont and Paradine was found inside and arrested.

A handgun and spent shell casing were found inside the vehicle.

MARYLAND — In a statement emailed out Saturday afternoon, Governor Wes Moore, says state workers are getting an extra holiday in 2024, Christmas Eve.

“Our state employees have worked tirelessly all year long ensuring that Maryland is safer, more affordable, more competitive and the state that serves. We hope that all of our incredible public servants across the state can take a much-needed day to be with their loved ones this holiday season.”

The day will be treated like any other state employee holiday. This will make Tuesday, the 14th holiday for state employees.
