AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Effectively, we go from Augusta Gamers to Augusta Junior Gamers. And The Augusta Junior Gamers have an ideal present developing for you, “Dr. Dolittle”. AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Friday night.
The Richmond County Coroner’s Office said the shooting took place in the parking lot of 2622 Peach Orchard Road.
The coroner said 16-year-old Sadiq Brown of Wrens was shot at least one time and taken to Piedmont Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:34 p.m.
At 10:55 p.m., the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a local hospital about a male subject who had been shot.
Upon arrival, deputies were informed that the male subject had been transported by car to the hospital with at least one gunshot wound.

Augusta Mall sees shooting on 4th of July, second this year
Just a few months after the April shooting, the Augusta Mall saw another on the 4th of July.
Richmond County Sheriff’s Office reported via news release that deputies responded to the mall at 3:38 p.m. for shots fired. Upon arrival they found one male that had been shot at least once. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An apartment building on Stevens Creek Road was damaged due to a fire on Wednesday, July 3.
According to the Augusta, Georgia Fire/EMA Facebook page, authorities responded to the 900 block of Stevens Creek Road at approximately 10:55 p.m. The caller reported hearing fireworks going off for over two hours before noticing the apartment building was on fire.
“The caller immediately began knocking on doors, informing residents of the fire and urging them to evacuate. On arrival, firefighters notified dispatch that the incident required a full response. The fire was brought under control and quickly extinguished,” the Augusta, Georgia Fire/EMA Facebook post said.
Authorities said 16 units were burned and there was one minor injury reported by a woman who escaped from her balcony. The residents were put in touch with the Red Cross.
“The cause of this fire is under investigation,” authorities said.
