Roundtable: Which Atlanta newcomer is flying under the radar?

Peachtree Hoops’ workers dives into some offseason questions relating to the Atlanta Hawks over the following few days because the motion begins to decelerate across the league. Immediately, we take a look at which lesser mentioned new addition could make the largest affect for the Hawks in 2022-23.

Exterior of Dejounte Murray, which different Atlanta newcomer will make the largest affect on the workforce through the 2022-23 season and why?

Zach Hood: There hasn’t been one other flashy transfer exterior of Murray for the Hawks this offseason, however Justin Vacation ought to be a really stable addition to the backcourt. He’s nothing spectacular in any particular person sense however is a succesful rotation participant that can hopefully assist fill the void left open on the bench by the departures of Kevin Huerter and Delon Wright. Vacation’s capturing and defensive versatility make him a high quality depth possibility.

Graham Chapple: Apart from the Murray addition, I haven’t been enormous on the opposite strikes the Hawks made this summer season. However the participant prone to make the largest affect is Justin Vacation, coming within the commerce with Sacramento for Kevin Huerter. The commerce is a downgrade general however Vacation can be stable on the very least.

Wes Morton: It is a robust query as a result of I’m unsure any newcomer past Murray has a lot of an affect. The highest 8 or 9 rotations gamers are pretty locked in. However I’d say Justin Vacation since his measurement and capturing checks a few of the packing containers the Hawks have been on the lookout for on the perimeter within the wake of Huerter and Gallinari leaving.

Glen Willis: In my thoughts there isn’t a query will probably be Justin Vacation. By all we’ve got heard, the Hawks are setting as much as incorporate extra switching on protection and Vacation’s strengths can be leveraged on this scheme. It’s no secret that Atlanta wants to enhance defending on the level of assault. Whereas Vacation just isn’t a stopper in that sense, his proficiency as a participant that may assist include ball handlers through efficient switching methods and by the use of his robust play as a assist defender.

Malik Brown: Since all of us suppose it’s going to be Justin Vacation on the courtroom, I’m going to say Kyle Korver, as he not too long ago joined the Hawks’ entrance workplace. Korver is named a sharpshooter, and hopefully he may help a number of gamers, particularly younger ones, with their bounce photographs and free throws. Additionally, let’s hope he could be a constructive for Trae Younger and assist him enhance his off-ball motion, one thing Korver was at all times glorious at by means of his profession as a longtime spot-up marksman.
