Atlanta police hold gun buyback this Saturday
ATLANTA – Atlanta police are sponsoring a gun buyback program this Saturday as a part of the One Secure Metropolis initiative.
Will probably be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. within the parking zone of the Atlanta Civic Heart positioned at 395 Piedmont Street NE.
Those that take part can obtain $50 per handgun and $100 per lengthy gun.
Police say it have to be an actual firearm and have to be largely full, and can’t simply be a part of the gun.
Individuals should stay of their autos always whereas going by means of the road on the occasion.
Police say officers won’t be working background checks, gathering any private data, or recording anybody’s car tag in the course of the occasion.
A beloved member of the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit is calling it a career. The K-9 deputy received special recognition and a sweet treat for his years of service with the department during a ceremony earlier.

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons return home to Mercedes-Benz Stadium for their final game of the 2024 regular season.
The NFL announced recently that the game between the Falcons and Carolina Panthers will take place on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. It will be broadcast on CBS.
