Arkansas State baseball completes coaching staff ahead of 2025 season
Arkansas State baseball head coach Mike Silva announced Wednesday the remaining additions to the 2025 coaching staff.
Cade Evans follows Silva to Jonesboro after one season as an assistant coach at Nicholls and will serve as the Director of Player Development. Prior to becoming a coach, Evans was a four-year letterwinner for the Colonels from 2020-23, accumulating 64 strikeouts and a 4.62 ERA over 74 innings pitched.
Ryan Burt joins the Red Wolves as the Director of Player Operations after spending two seasons as a player at Nicholls. He made five appearances and one start while posting a 3.86 ERA for the Colonels in 2023 and 2024.
Zachary Arn enters his first season as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Scarlet and Black, joining the program after one year at Nicholls. Prior to his stint in Thibodaux, Arn served as an assistant at UTEP in 2022 and interned at Abilene Christian in 2021.
“Obviously excited to have Cade, Ryan, and Zach joining our team here in Jonesboro,” Coach Silva said. “I feel like our players will feel their impact immediately. Zach, Cade, and Ryan all played an important role in helping our team return to the regionals last season and we’re excited for them to have the same impact here in Jonesboro.”
Jakob Frederick returns for his second season as the Director of Analytics, a role he accepted following the end of his senior campaign at A-State.
