NEWNow you can take heed to Fox Information articles!

Constitutional regulation professor Jonathan Turley mentioned on “America’s Newsroom” Friday that the Democrats can’t declare to be “defending democracy” whereas courts throw out their gerrymandered congressional maps. Turley mentioned that in New York and different states, judges are basically denying Democrats’ makes an attempt to “rig elections.”

LIBERAL STATE’S DEMS ILLEGALLY DREW CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICTS, COURT RULES

JONATHAN TURLEY: Properly, what’s fascinating is that districts just like the one for Home Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler, who has spoken towards gerrymandering, may be very very like the unique gerrymandered district. It seems like a salamander. It’s so contorted, and what the Republicans had been complaining about is that the Democrats had been making an attempt to principally cut back their benefit within the state to simply 5 districts to cut back the variety of Republicans going to Congress. A choose earlier mentioned this was uncooked partisan gerrymandering. Now this appellate courtroom has agreed. Now, remember that lately a Maryland choose additionally struck down a Democratic map, saying it was unconstitutional and uncooked partisan gerrymandering. After which in Wisconsin, a courtroom went with a Republican map over the Democratic map due to related issues. That is making it increasingly more troublesome for the Democrats to run on this ‘Shield Democracy’ slogan when courts are saying that they are making an attempt to rig elections.

PETA set to 'bombard' Hot Dog Eating Contest spectators, encourage them to go vegan

Published

Two years ago, Joey Chestnut was interrupted by a protester who he put in a headlock — and then he still managed to eat 63 hot dogs and buns at the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.

Chestnut will not be at this year’s event (which takes place on Thursday), but activists will be.

PETA, the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals, announced that they will “bombard the competition’s spectators” with a truck that will encourage the attendees to go vegan.

The organization says it is a “life-size, hyperrealistic pig transport truck” that is donned with images of pigs in cages that are being sent to be slaughtered. The truck is named “Hell on Wheels.”

“Behind every hot dog is a once-living, sensitive individual who was crammed onto a truck for a terrifying, miserable journey to their death,” Tracy Reiman, PETA’s executive vice president, said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “PETA’s ‘Hell on Wheels’ truck is an appeal to anyone who eats pigs, cows, or other animals to remember that the meat industry is cruel to them and the only kind meal is a vegan one.”

JOEY CHESTNUT TO COMPETE IN A JULY 4TH HOT DOG EATING CONTEST AFTER ALL

The truck will be posted outside the competition at 11 a.m. ET, an hour before the competition begins.

The organization also ripped the “shameful” National Dog Shot and the use of live mascots for sports teams, most recently with the Cleveland Browns after their mascot, a bullmastiff named Swagger Jr., died at the age of 5.

Chestnut was barred from this year’s competition after he partnered with a Nathan’s rival. Major League Eating said they would lift the ban if the partnership ended, which never occurred.

Thus, it will be the first time since 2015, and just the second time since 2007, that there will be someone not named Joey Chestnut has the champion. Chestnut lost the competition in 2015 to Matt Stone.

Could Steelers Pull Off Blockbuster Trade With Cowboys?

Could Steelers Pull Off Blockbuster Trade With Cowboys?

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers remain the most likely landing spot for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, but as one roller coaster ride continues out west, another wide receiver in the NFC may become available.

The 49ers are trying to work out a deal to keep Aiyuk around long-term, and they find themselves in the same situation the Dallas Cowboys do with CeeDee Lamb. After Justin Jefferson signed a massive deal with the Minnesota Vikings, both wideouts are looking for contracts that average over $30 million per season. If they don’t get them with their current teams, they’ll look elsewhere.

“It all comes down to what the future looks like in the minds of Jerry and Stephen Jones, which means there’s no telling how this will end,” Cowboys OnSI writer Randy Gurzi writes about the Lamb situation.

According to Cowboys insider Clarence Hill Jr., Lamb is currently seeking over $32 million per season on his next deal. While that number seems high for a team like the Steelers, they were reportedly ready to make a move for Aiyuk, which likely would’ve cost them roughly $30 million per year on his contract extension. So, even if the number is high for the fanbase, it may not be high for the team.

At 25-years-old, Lamb has three 1,000-yard seasons, 32 touchdowns and is coming off a 1,749 yards and 12 touchdown year with the Cowboys.

Pittsburgh could use a Lamb. They probably don’t need a massive contract on their hands, but it doesn’t mean they aren’t considering it. At this point, waiting for Aiyuk means anything is on the table. If the 49ers want to push things out as long as they can, teams like the Steelers will need to keep their options open, and Lamb could be one of those options.

To this point, every name has been tossed out there for Pittsburgh. There’s been speculation about DK Metcalf, Aiyuk, Treylon Burks and Courtland Sutton. Adding Lamb to that list only makes sense. You can’t rule anything out when Omar Khan is running the show, so until Lamb inks a new deal, you just can’t say it’s impossible for Pittsburgh.
