Wisconsin teen plotted to kill Trump to start 'political revolution': documents
A 17-year-old Wisconsin teen accused of killing his mother and stepfather had also plotted to assassinate President Donald Trump to start a “political revolution,” according to court documents.
Nikita Casap, 17, had images and messages on his phone that referenced a “self-described manifesto regarding assassinating the president, making bombs, and terrorist attacks,” FOX6 Milwaukee reported, citing a search warrant filed with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.
Images of a three-page document titled “Accelerate the Collapse” called for the assassination of Trump, according to the report.
Trump was specifically referenced in an excerpt from the document, which said “getting rid of the president and perhaps the vice president” is “guaranteed to bring in some chaos. … Point being this manifesto is specifically for the attack that targets Trump.”

The so-called manifesto described creating “a political revolution in the United States” to “save the white race” from “Jewish controlled” lawmakers. Images of Adolf Hitler with the text “HAIL HITLER HAIL THE WHITE RACE HAIL VICTORY” were also found in the document.

During an interview with one of Casap’s classmates, authorities learned that Casap told the female classmate he had been in contact with a man from Russia, who they claim knew about the teen’s scheme to take passports, a car and the family dog and flee to Ukraine, according to the report.
Fox News Digital’s Alexandra Koch contributed to this report.

Wisconsin basketball adds 7-foot-1 center Jack Thelen to 2027 recruiting class
Greg Gard shares most rewarding part of Garding Against Cancer effort
Wisconsin basketball coach Greg Gard said the most rewarding part of his Garding Against Cancer initiative is ‘the people.’
Wisconsin men’s basketball has quickly gone from zero commitments to two in its 2027 recruiting class.
Eight days after in-state star Jalen Brown’s commitment, Minneapolis-area center Jack Thelen committed to the Badgers as well, he announced via Instagram on June 13.
Thelen’s choice of the Badgers followed UW’s scholarship offer on June 10. It was his first reported offer from a high-major program. His other offers included Miami (Ohio), Murray State and Montana.
The 7-foot-1, 235-pound center is from Maple Grove, Minnesota, which also is where UW alum Brad Davison went to high school. Thelen is high school and AAU teammates with fellow 2027 recruiting target Baboucarr Ann. Thelen does not have a rating yet from 247 Sports or Rivals.
UW now has two commitments in its 2027 class, which is ranked fourth in the Big Ten and 12th nationally by 247 Sports. Rivals has similarly ranked the class fifth in the Big Ten and 18th nationally.

The Lions may have turned a one-game emergency into a possible full-time plan for 2026
Detroit Lions may be expanding a late-season experiment. What started as a one-game emergency is quietly turning into something more, with a potential new role taking shape as training camp approaches.

The Detroit Lions did something interesting out of complete necessity late in the season last year. With all of their tight ends injured, they needed to put someone out there to fill in. Instead of grabbing a free agent tight end, they threw undrafted rookie wide receiver Jackson Meeks in there.
Jackson Meeks might be moving to tight end full-time before you know it
This was expected to be a one-time thing, but then the Lions continued to work him with the tight ends at practice for the rest of the year. We never got to see him do it in a game again. Now this summer at OTAs, Meeks is again working with the Lions’ tight ends during positional drills.
As we head towards training camp, you have to wonder what Detroit plans to do with him. He’s a bigger receiver in height, but the weight is a little lower than you’d like there at 218 pounds. But you can see how the Lions could do a Devin Funchess-like move with him and have him be an additional receiving tight end.
There’s also the chance that Detroit sees him as another positionless weapon. A guy they can have at tight end in certain situations, and receiver in others. This may be his best shot to land a spot on the roster, with the receiver room being pretty full right now. At minimum, it’s his chance to land on the practice squad again.
