JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) – Missouri’s Republican-led Home has handed laws aimed toward limiting transgender children’ participation in sports activities.

Home members voted 95-46 to require transgender public faculty college students to play on groups that match the intercourse listed on their delivery certificates.

Senators additionally debated a proposal to strip funding from colleges that don’t enact comparable restrictions.

Missouri’s present public highschool sports activities guidelines already prohibit transgender ladies from competing on ladies groups until they’re present process hormone remedy.

Blizzard forces closure of I-29 in Missouri


KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – Treacherous blizzard conditions have caused closures along I-29 in Missouri.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol announced on Sunday evening, Jan. 5, that I-29 has been closed in both directions between Rockport and 71 Highway.

Transportation officials indicated that the decision was made due to treacherous conditions caused by extreme winter weather.

State Troopers said they will begin to sweep the area and rescue stranded drivers. For emergency aid, those stuck on Missouri highways and interstates should call *55.
