Minneapolis mayor wants Taylor Swift to attend Vikings vs Chiefs: She'll have to console Kelce afterwards!
All eyes are on whether Taylor Swift will be in attendance for her third Travis Kelce game in a row.
The mayor of Minneapolis is leading the push for her to do so next weekend, when the Minnesota Vikings play host the Kansas City Chiefs at US Bank Stadium.
Will Taylor Swift attend Vikings vs Chiefs?
According to TMZ, mayor Jacob Frey stated that he and the rest of the city are ready to welcome the singer with open arms this Sunday.
“We know all too well the positive impact Taylor Swift has on the cities she visits, and Minneapolis is no exception,” Frey said.
“Her two sold-out concerts at US Bank Stadium in June led to a record-setting tourism weekend, including booked-up hotels and packed downtown restaurants, boosting our local economy beyond our ‘Wildest Dreams’.”
“If Taylor chooses to come back to Minneapolis [sometimes known as Swiftieapolis] this weekend, we’ll be ‘Ready For It’.
“It’s possible she will have to console Travis Kelce after the Vikings beat the Chiefs, but there are plenty of great spots across town for them to go on a date and lift their spirits!”
The two NFL games Taylor Swift has attended have turned out to be a ratings bonanza for Fox and NBC.
On top of that, photos and videos of the singer in the stadium have gone viral on social media.
