Tamiko French — then a trainer at North Excessive Faculty in Minneapolis — first discovered her Legacy Arts Group had earned the eye of a prestigious worldwide fringe pageant in 2019. A yr later, and as her solid was crafting their manufacturing, the pandemic derailed their plans and their lives.

“We have been on an exquisite trajectory all by means of 2019 and 2020 after which March 17 occurred,” French stated, referring to when the scholars — and larger neighborhood — moved to distance studying and social isolation.
