Man shot dead inside Minneapolis bar Saturday night


A person was fatally shot inside The Spring Avenue Tavern in Minneapolis late Saturday evening. 

In keeping with police, there was an altercation contained in the bar round 11:38 p.m. between a person in his 30s and somebody he knew. The struggle escalated to gunfire, with the person in his 30s struggling “a minimum of one life-threatening gunshot wound.”

“Regardless of all life-saving efforts, the injured male died on the scene,” MPD mentioned. 

The suspect, a person in his 40s, was held by witnesses at scene till police arrived. He was then taken to Hennepin Healthcare to deal with accidents he sustained earlier than officers arrived and will probably be booked into jail as soon as he is launched.

MINNEAPOLIS — Two Minneapolis Police Officers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after their squad car was involved in a crash with another vehicle. 

The accident happened just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday night near Chicago Avenue and 9th Street South.   

Police say the two officers were driving with their lights and siren activated when the collied with another car — a security vehicle. 

The driver and lone occupant of the security vehicle was not injured. 

Minneapolis Traffic Investigations responded to the scene. Minneapolis police will investigate the accident.
