Malicious driver plows through Pro-Palestine crowd in Minneapolis
A video about a vehicle that drove through a crowd in Minneapolis just became viral. After 3:20 on Sunday, Minneapolis PD received multiple reports of disturbances near a demonstration in favor of ending the bombing of Gaza.
MPD spokesperson Aaron Rose told Newsweek in an email that “Various witnesses reported a vehicle driving through the crowd, and one caller reported the sound of a gunshot,”

Rose elaborated claiming that said. “At this time, there have been no reports of injuries related to the demonstration, and no victims have come forward.“
At this time, the MPD is undergoing follow-up investigations about the incident, and “no arrests have been made as of Sunday night. Said Rose.
About 5,000 people gathered at the intersection of Hennepin and Lyndale Avenues and Vineland Place to protest and demand the bombing of Gaza by the Israeli Military.
The organizers of the rally were the Minnesota Anti-War Committee, the state chapter of the American Muslims for Palestine, and the Students for Justice in Palestine at the University of Minnesota.
As part of the manifestation, people would lie on the ground giving the message of being dead, that’s when everything turned sour.
“A hostile driver threatened protesters with his car and a box cutter,” the statement reads. “He was disarmed by protest security but then he drove through the crowd.”
The viral video shows how a man in a white sedan gets out of the vehicle and according to protesters, he had a box cutter and engaged people in the street to then go back to his car and plowed through an agitated crowd to later get away.

Extra Minneapolis police patrols planned for synagogues after Temple Israel gets threats
“It’s not progressive nor inclusive to target any group of people for hate. It is ignorant. And every one of us, regardless of your ideology or background, should be calling that out as problematic, as hateful and as not having a place in our city.”
Temple Israel Rabbi Marcia Zimmerman said she is sending a message to her congregation “to assure them that we truly feel proud to be Jewish, proud to be a Jewish community in Minneapolis, and proud to have a heritage that is strong and vibrant and beautiful.”
“Every religious community should be able to worship without fear, especially on the holiest days of their year,” she said. “A threat to any religious community is a threat to all of us.”
O’Hara said he expects protests over the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza will continue and that those First Amendment activities will be protected.
“However, we absolutely will not tolerate threats of violence against members of our Jewish community,” he said. “We will not tolerate acts of destruction against property in this city, and we want everyone to know that we will ensure that all houses of worship for people of all faiths will be places where they can be safe.”
