Kolten Wong, Tyrone Taylor and Keston Hiura are all gamers with energy who coming into Saturday night time have been looking for their first homers as properly whereas Luis Urías, the Brewers’ second-leading energy man in 2021 with a career-high 23, opened the 12 months on the injured checklist and has but to play a recreation.

As a workforce, the Brewers completed 18th in homers final season with 194. Avisaíl García led the way in which with 29 and apart from Urías, Adames was the one different participant to succeed in 20.

“Yeah, we have some guys who’re going to hit residence runs that have not hit homers but,” Counsell mentioned. “However they’re coming.”

Brosseau, considered one of two utility males on the roster, changed Adames at first of the ninth inning however solely three batters got here to the plate and no outs had been registered when Brent Suter bumped into the fence in entrance of the St. Louis dugout attempting to glove a popup.

Suter was shaken up and faraway from the sport, leaving Counsell to interchange Suter with Brosseau and Wong to slip over to shortstop from second base.

“A primary for me,” added Wong, who hadn’t performed shortstop in any respect since highschool in Hawaii. “It was cool. You don’t need to be doing that too many instances, nevertheless it was cool to see it from that aspect.

“I’ve at all times needed to have some innings there, and it’s form of enjoyable to get that.”

Brosseau allowed successful and a stroll however no runs in throwing the ninth, decreasing his profession ERA to three.38. He pitched thrice for the Rays in 2019 and as soon as in 2020.

“(Counsell) got here as much as me and requested me if I used to be capable of do it,” Brosseau mentioned. “I used to be like, ‘Yeah, I’ll get you three outs. I don’t know what’s going to occur earlier than three outs, however I’ll get you three outs.’

“(Simply throwing strikes) is the gist of it, as a result of clearly the circumstances aren’t nice while you’ve received a place participant on the market. Simply pound the zone and get outs as shortly as potential.”

Brent Suter feeling fantastic

The day after his scary collision, Suter was no worse for put on.

“Received actually fortunate,” he mentioned. “Handed all of the assessments, so good to go.”

Counsell was requested if it was a lesson discovered for the hard-charging left-hander.

“Usually, full-speed operating into partitions will not be (a good suggestion),” he mentioned. “However, look, it occurs. A man’s attempting to make a play. So, what do you inform a man attempting to make a play? He simply misplaced himself on the sector just a little bit and clearly it’s not a play that pitchers are required to make very a lot.

After going 18-11 through March/April the Milwaukee Brewers continued to win ball games during the month of May as they went 16-12. Their team confidence is currently through the roof and as a result there was a lot of stand out players who helped contribute to their success.

Here we will highlight 5 Milwaukee Brewers players that stood out during the month of May.

What Robert Gasser did during his first month as a big league baseball player (first five starts if you extend to his June 1 game) is not normal. The now 25 year old has a 2.25 ERA across his first 28.0 innings pitched with just one walked batter. He’s pitched at least five innings in every start with three games reaching six innings pitched. The rookie has shown great adaptability as every game he is getting MLB batters out in different ways (example: against the Marlins he had zero strikeouts but then against the Cubs he struck out seven batters).

Manager Pat Murphy references his bullpen players to the firemen. Among his squad he has three left-handed relievers that he can turn to in Hoby Milner, Bryan Hudson, and Jared Koenig. Last month all three tied for the lead in reliever innings pitched (15.2), although Jared Koenig was used in an openers role twice against the Boston Red Sox. During the month of May, Milner posted a 3.45 ERA, while Hudson had a 1.72, and Koenig was at 2.87.

Shortstop Willy Adames was clutch for the Brew Crew during the month of May. He led the team in RBI with 22 in which seven of them came during a crucial four game series against the Chicago Cubs. A few of his top moments include a ninth inning go-ahead home run against the Kansas City Royals and an eighth inning three run home run against the Cubs. Not included in those RBI stats (June 1 game) was a game tying two RBI hit in the seventh inning against the White Sox and walk-off RBI in that same game.

Predicting where Milwaukee Bucks’ free agents will play in 2024-25

With no player/team options, five Milwaukee Bucks will officially hit NBA Free Agency this off-season when teams are allowed to start negotiating on June 30.

Those players range from key starters to end of the bench guys, and obviously, it would be shocking if the team kept every single one and ran it back. Changes will be made, and some of these guys will be donning different jerseys next season. With all of that said, let us predict where each of the Bucks bracing for free agency will ultimately sign.

After a tremendous regular season, the OKC Thunder could not overcome the Dallas Mavericks’ size in the postseason. They need to get bigger this off-season, and with two of their veteran centers in Mike Muscala and Bismack Biyombo set to enter the free agent pool, their front office might have to look at external options.

One such option could be Danilo Gallinari. The forward, having split last season between three teams, didn’t dazzle anywhere, and he wouldn’t be viewed as a game-changer for OKC. However, he could be a nice depth addition to this roster, giving them an experienced veteran capable of playing both of the forward positions and center.

Gallinari is no stranger to Oklahoma City, having played there during the 2019-20 season, where he was a key cog for them. He wouldn’t be tasked with providing such production this time around, but such a young team could use a veteran who could serve as a depth piece while providing leadership. On a minimum deal, it would be low-risk.
